    Thanks Everyone :)

I just feel this diary helps me a lot, being able to write things down is good therapy! After weeks/months of feeling positive and happyish I had an unexpected wobble over the weekend. Guess it was due but it's knocked my confidence a bit. Missed being able to come on here and chat but am feeling better now.

That's me drawing a line under it! As I'm on my phone it might not look the same on PC but the meaning is there :)

On upside I'm getting enough work, blinds were supposed to be fitted today but there was a mix up and they're coming tomorrow instead. Still being a bit lax on the money front but have to save for flooring and new sofa so need to be careful.

Eventually went to see Harry Potter tonight, loved it!

Glad you are feeling better. I know too much about feeling depressed at times. The night shifts probably don't help, they really mess up your body clock.

Please don't think people are ignoring you, all of the diaries on here go a little quiet if the OP isn't updating.

    Talk soon, goodnight x

Thanks Mags, I know ppl aren't ignoring me I think I felt bad about having nothing decent to write about! Still stuck in a rut and bored with the way my life is, harder to change things than I thought...

Been looking at going back to uni but no matter how many numbers I crunch I just don't think it's possible financially.
  • LB even if you feel that you have nothing to write or anything interesting to say or feel that your life is dull, I am sure that we all have those moments in our life when nothing much seems to be happening but in your life you have so much going on with getting your place decorated and you have managed to pick up some extra shifts to help pay for it. Try not to be too hard on yourself. We all have wobbly days, some more than others but we are all here to support you through your debt journey just the same as you help others by writing on their diaries.....

    chin up :)

  • LB, can I recommend the book I read on holiday :) it's called Just Get On With It by Ali Campbell.

A lot of it is about how when you are on the right track, things seem to fall into place but you have to learn to listen to yourself to find what the right track is, and then look after yourself to keep yourself in the right place where good things happen.

In particular, there was a case study of someone who had always wanted to go back to uni, to study medicine of all things. Once she had made the decision, and decided to go for it, a lot of things fell into place and things appeared to help her on her way.

It has made a huge difference to me and how I think about my life, I would lend you my copy but I don't think I could bear to part with it (and every other page has the corner folded down which drives me potty when I read books other people have read first :rotfl:)

What are you thinking of studying? And even if you are just thinking for now, and aren't sure it's really what you want, it's good to exhaust all your options as you did with Abu Dhabi. Can you get away just for a couple of days since you missed out on your holiday? :( just to give yourself a change of scenery? :) you are welcome here, Clacton is very nice this time of year :rotfl: (I don't live in Clacton but I'm not very far away!)

chin up chuck, you have come a LONG long way and that's chuffing marvellous that is! :j

I totally agree with these sentiments that if something is meant to be then things that you see as a major hurdle are nothing but a step up nearer your goals, in time you will look back and see how far you have already come. The road might not have been in a straight line but in the end it will be well worth the journey.

Keep smiling huni :) sending one of those awful dodgy huggy things :grouphug:

Thanks LHG and BF :). I had a look at that book in Waterstones and will probably order it :)

Well I was supposed to work tonight but got out of it :D just relaxing today. Had a spray tan as supposed to be going out tomorrow night...Bought a dress from H&M but now I've got it home I'm not too sure about it. Think I'll pop to the shops tomorrow to see if I can find something else.

Got my blinds fitted :) that's one thing I can tick off my massive list!!

Still haven't fixed laptop, totally forgot it's under warranty so will have a look for the papers that came with it..

Hope u all have a good weekend x
  • nice one on the laptop, hope it's all mended soon :D

I hate it when you get something home and change your mind :( sometimes you can just push through and it's lovely after all, but sometimes it's not and then it's too late to take it back when you've worn it!

    Happy Saturday :)

Had a wee wander in the body shop today and got a free makeover :). Was wanting some mineral foundation so got that, very happy with the coverage. Took H&M dress back and found a dress I loved in Quiz!! I never go in quiz as I never like anything in their window display but a wee royal blue body con number caught my eye...

Got some free biggest loser meal replacement shakes with a free magazine I'm superdrug. Picked up another few mags but not sure u canlet myself be that greedy...

Going to have something to eat then heading tp my friends to get ready and have cocktails :D
