Thanks ladies
I think I'll always be on a diet as I have no 'off switch'. I will always have to watch what I eat. Saying that, if I'm going out fir dinner or at a special event I will have what I like
I called the credit card company, they are actually sending me a new card as my current one is almost expired! It's been in that drawer a long time!! I'm quite good at paying off debt, by that I mean I usually manage to pay off debt but am rubbish at saving. I'm careful though not to get into debt with things I really dont need, I'm not much of a spender...most of the time...
Saying that I have some money stashed away (from a bit of overtime) to get some new accessories. Need new bedding and curtains, looking to buy the thickest tog duvet I can find as I'm always cold! Going to pop to a few of the second hand furniture shops tomorrow to see if I can find anything.
Having a nice wee easy night.0 -

Ya I know we were discussing TK Maxx on some diary here recently. I don't go there to browse but if I need something specific I always check there first. Things I've bought there include a yoga pants, a teapot and a frying pan. They often have huge bottles of tigi hair products too. Doesn't always work though, I couldn't find a suitable sports bra when I wanted one but I think my duvet must have originally been on sale in Harrodds given it's RRP. I paid around €60 for it I think.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

the book tells you to go out and buy a huge amount of your favourite food. say, for example, your vice is ice cream. you'd get rid of all your frozen veg, and stuff the freezer with tubs and tubs and tubs of ice cream, as much as will fit. you can eat as much as you want, whenever you want.
after your initial binge (which *everyone* will have when faced with an unlimited supply of their favourite food) you'll see that after day upon day of eating nothing but ice cream, and it just being there and available, you'll want it less and less, because your body will start to crave savoury stuff, maybe like crisps and fried chicken. so go out and buy all that. then after eating as much as you want of crisps and fried chicken, you'll maybe want fresh salad and some fruit or something. you'll never STOP wanting the ice cream/fried chicken/whatever altogether (cos it's blimmin tasty!) but you'll want it in smaller amounts simply because you'll know you can always have it at any time, and you'll be listening to your own wise body, which *will* regulate itself, the same way as "naturally slim" people do (people who you assume to have the off switch that you think you don't have).
the book makes sure that you realise you will probably *gain* weight in the first few days, or even over a couple of weeks. but it won't be very much, and after the initial bingeing is over, your weight will stabilise, and after a certain time you'll start losing weight, as you adjust to the normal, healthy diet that your body decides on. your binges will be less and less frequent, and you'll feel less and less guilty every time you eat more than you needed to, and you'll begin to really enjoy food for what it is. you'll never have to eat a horrible low-fat yoghurt or soup again (i say that cos i spent years living on tasteless soups and yoghurts in between saying "oh f*** this i'm eating what i want" and scoffing chocolate and feeling guilty and starting again the next day).
it teaches you to listen to your body and overcome any emotional associations you have with food. honestly it's brilliant. and it's pure common sense. i venomously detest all the carp in the girly magazines instructing us to undertake ridiculous and often harmful regimes to "look good" when everyone should instead be taught that their own body will regulate what it needs, and that everyone should find their own natural weight and the whole developed world will be a much happier place.
grrr. oh i'm sorry i did it again...
in summary: everything in moderation, including moderation!

. It does make a lot of sense, I guess I have a few demons to get rid of...I wish I could be hypnotised to hate chocolate, would make life easier!!
Good day today, I got a new duvet, some memory foam pictures and bed sheets. Also got a nice canvas picture from Next which goes with my new colour scheme. Picked up a cardi and a gilet as it's starting to get cold. Makes a difference shopping with a friend, I'm usually on my own and talk myself out of buying things.
Cleared out wardrobe and chucked a load of stuff, also got a big bag for the charity shop. One day I will get into ebaying0 -
