Having changed over to Powergen a couple of months ago (through Quidco got £30),I found their new tariff today.Thsi is called Energyonline Winter Saver.I done a comparision on Energyhelpline and it's gone from £852 down to £809.This is because they give an extra 5% promotional discount until 31/01/08.Phoned them and done a simply changeover as already an exisiting customer. No tie-ins no strings said the staff.

WOW. How simple was that to save £50 a year.
Just phoned them on 0800 015 1712 stated I wanted to change from Energy Online to Energy Online Winter Saver ........ he said "thats done, you will get an extra 5% discount as from today"
Thanks isayoldchap, super post. :beer:Bad Spellers of the world untie0 -
This offer also applies to Electricity Online as well, so rather than getting 5% discount you get 16% discount until 31 January 2008.
If people aren't familiar with Energy/Electricty Online you need to pay by monthly DD and manage your account online (ie you don't get paper bills).0 -
Fantastic, just changed to Winter Saver, and est. £50 better off too.

I thought there might be some sort of catch, like a tie in, but it seems as though it is exactly the same, except with an additional 5% discount until 31/01/08! So I went for it.0

Does anyone know if existing online OneBill customers can take advantage of the saving on this tariff?

Don't know - why don't you ring them and tell them you want to change to this tariff?(AKA HRH_MUngo)
