I went in a few weeks ago and got cold chips, staff too busy chatting to serve, the tables were dirty and no napkins anywhere. Sent off a complaint and never heard anything back.
Its a francise though so will probably never hear back from them, they stopped doing vegetarian burgers there so that warrants a complaint anyway, but will just never go there again.
I used to work for them many years ago and the managers were slave drivers, i hated the place. After i left, horror stories started going round of staff doing dirty things to the food, thankfully i never saw anything when i was there. We had to ajax everything in the kitchen twice a day and we were expected to serve the food with ajax all over our hands as we were never allowed time to wash our hands, god it was disgusting. They were more bothered about having shiny stainless steel than food hygiene. We also had to leave the place spotless before going home at night, this would mean we wouldnt get home til roughly 4am from a closing time of midnight. I would never work there again for all the tea in China. I did hear once that the managers are very well paid and get better pay than bank managers, etc. It has definately got from bad to worse imo.0 -

also never got a scratchcard.
That's because there are no scratch cards with cheeseburgers. They are on the packaging of Tasty's, Deli's and large fries.0 -
i had a chicken burger from there and it WAS fowl
Lol! I had an invisible burger from Maccies recently! Can't comment on it really.0 -
MacDonalds and Burger King must be two of the most disgusting food places ever thought up.
I wouldn't go to either, if they paid me.
No wonder kids are going barmy - these places seem full of young children being fed this crap by their parents.
Whatever happened to feeding kids proper food?
I go past the same places regularly and it's the same people sitting in them, ramming chips and gooey "burgers" down their toddler's throats .:eek:You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
Get yourselves to France..McDonald's are much better there.
I've been to that McDonald's in Venice....it wasn't pretty. It was jammed packed, had a mile long queue for the toilet and to top it off a woman was changing her baby's nappie on one of the tables! Oh and the food wasn't the best. I can only assume i caught them on a bad day?! :j
I'd far sooner go to the chippy!...put a smokey in love!0 -
When I was travelling abroad years ago, I found Mc Donalds very useful. More than once, when I'd done a long stretch hitch hiking. Mc Donalds was always a useful place to go and have a good strip down wash. I used to get funny looks, but I never got chucked out. I've done this in quite a few countries in Europe.
Israel was interesting too. The orthodox jews used to protest outside each Mc Donalds because they sold non-kosher food (a cheesburger is very non-kosher). Once you got through the protest, it was amazing how busy each of these branches were though. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I'm shocked at the people defending them. Every single branch in Birmingham is filthy at whatever time you go in. I think it is important to complain when you see this because no doubt all complaints through head office are recorded and brought up with the franchise owners.
With regards to my complaint. Well basically I got a £5 voucher. Great I thought. Went and ordered £8.20 (or so) food with a friend. cashier looked at the voucher for about 5 mins, called someone else over. They explained to me they had no way to enter it on the system so would have to charge me for something of the value of the difference. Then they found something near to it - £3.40 or so. They then expected me to pay the full £3.40 without any change. I just paid up and shut up - it's just not worth explaining to the morons.0 -
whats all the fuss about? dont use them thats it is only a fast food outlet0
