This isn't true really. I work in a customer environment. I find that about 90% of people who have any problem/complaint very friendly and that in turn will get their problem sorted quickly. 10% have no idea, shout/scream make a sceen, act like a child, drag it out as long as possible, then complain it's taken a long time! I could go on and on!
Personally I've never had a problem when I complained about anything, but I suppose I know exactly how to go about it.....copy the way the ones that I like do it at work!
If the quote above has any truth I think the way they went about it probably had a very big impact on the way they were delt with.0 -

The post above was a response to someone saying 90% of people don't complain and then the quote above was written.
My post above is my personal experience(s) of what was written in the quotes I refer to.
My point being that if 10% who complain get told to "eff-off" their own approach to the situation was probably the most likely cause of the outcome.
This is from experience which I wrote about above.0 -
My points are consistant. The point being that the reaction from making a complaint in any situation is very heavly dependent on the way they approached it. My blog just simply highlights that some people don't take the right opening approach!
I don't believe I've said I'm always right anywhere, quote me if you can find it;-)
My website just highlights a very small minority who either live in their own world and can't see thier own mistakes or just have no idea how to speak to people. I will however say that it is luckly a minority, I've got 2 cases this year from a shop that has 35,000 customers a week. It's hardly that I want to 'slag' all of them off! But I am aware that it is a problem that does exits, the funny thing is in the 2 cases in my blog the other members of the public who witnessed them all were amazed at the rudeness. Which is nice to know because at least you know it's not you.
I was just pointing out that above it implies that if you complain you'll get told to 'eff-off!' that that just isn't true all the time. And the way in which you approach someone when making a compliant will have a massive impact on the way they treat you.0 -
my friend bought a big mac and found a great big plaster with hair & blood in her mouth
I dont know why she complained as you get that anyway in a burger from McD's

God Joanne - i'd not be doing that if I were you - you never know what they do to your your food if you are a bit awkward!
I have many friends in the catering/restaurant biz and they have told many tales about other staff (and probably themselves!) doing allsorts to the food of customers who have complained etc. I always write and complain AFTER i've eaten!0 -

'' well someone put an extra 'f' in her name badge!!!!' i was in stitches!!!:TThe places i have been so far: Palma, Tunis, Rome, Corsica, St.Raphael, Naples, Pompeii, Barcelona, Villefranche, Ajaccio, Livorno, Genoa, Madiera, Martinique, St Maartens, St Kitts, St Vincents, Dominica, Barbados, Antigua, Tortola, Jealous anyone????? :T0

I had a reply to my email offering me a voucher, thought it was a bit lame but better than nothing. Sent them my address and thats as far as we have got  Another crap customer service experience  If I hear nothing by the end of the week I'll be writing I think.:j :j0 -
Also went to the Mcds in Venice (yes really - free loos and cheap drinks ) and that was excellent as well - spotless and first rate service.
I agree - best McDs I've ever been to. It has to be the coolest (as in coldest) place in Venice also - perfect place to cool off with a drink.
I used to love take-away food but I've gone right off it this last year or so. Burger King warm almost all of their food in a microwave right in front of you, KFCs are all grotty and staffed by people who don't listen (and in many cases don't speak English all that well), while at the local McDs the staff are always arguing at the top of their voices.Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.0
