McDonalds

Once went to McDonalds with some people from work, and we were being served by someone with no idea how to use the till. Along came their supervisor, with a badge full of stars. My workmate said 'Christ. what are you, a General?'
At the time I was crying with laughter. Maybe it was the idea of a militaristic mcdonalds, or maybe you just had to be there0 -

yes but havign a degree does not mean you are necessarily any good with dealing with the public. Intelligence and common sense are not the same thing!
Some of the scruffiest and unhygienic people I know are 'brainy'.Baby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding.0 -

I worked for McDs for 4 years and it was the most fun I've had in any job. I worked in several different stores and I'd agree with sally - most staff either had a degree or were studying for one. ANd i used to get so annoyed with people who would come and complain and think it was acceptable to denigrate members of staff merely because they were standing behind a counter and wearing a hat. I have to say, freshers week was the worst time of year and I did lose my rag a time or two - and before I'm accused of student bashing I too have a degree - in English. It's a lot harder work than people realise - the store I worked at could turn over £4k per hour every hour from 1200-1700 on the two Saturdays in the run up to Christmas. With an average cheque of about £8, you've got to be quick on your feet and quicker with your brain or you just get mown down. The only reason I didn't stay with them as a career was the hours.0

They dont actually use that anymore so I am told0 -
the stars are to show the level of training but in my experience dont mean anything as lots of the staff should have more stars than they actually have just because managers are allergic to the paperwork!0
