  • I think its a this country thing. I visited one in France and the serivce and food was far better than here and the stuff & food in the happy meals bag was excellent quality.

Also went to the Mcds in Venice (yes really - free loos and cheap drinks :rotfl: ) and that was excellent as well - spotless and first rate service.

Here on the odd desperate occaisons we've ventured there the food is cold and !!!!!! and the eating areas filthy and the staff miserable as sin. We've given up now.
  • There is actually no law ( unless it has changed recently) that states they have to clean up before they go home, i was told this by the health dept when i querried something with them, but they do have to clean before they start serving and cooking etc. on a new day.
  • It must be something about this country, the one's in Bangkok are first class. Sparkling clean, great service, better range of food and they home deliver!

If I had all the money I'd spent on drink, I'd spend it on drink.

    :D

I absolutely agree with you there on the cleanliness but the burgers leave allot to be desired and they are smaller too, the best one is on sukhumvit Road next to Robinson dept. store in Bangkok, if its still there. Thing about MacD in Thailand is they have a different menu apart form the regulation burgers. You can usually get mash potoatoes and fried fish but you can't get milk shakes. My sons girlfriend is Thai she loves the milk shakes and as soon as she flies in we have to stop to buy her a big chocolate one. They also don't do the salads or the baguette things. they also have sinks to wash your hands and free bottled water available.

Right on the nail..problem is 90% of people in this country put up with all the **** thrown at them, on the railways, fastfood, customer services, everywhere
then when they complain it`s in an agressive manner, educate, educate, read about these corps,
especially fast food nation-you will never visit a macdonalds ever again!

  • To be honest its not just McDonalds.

I recently had the misfortune to have to hang around an ASDA cafe at about 7.30pm and the place was an absolute tip........and the one member of staff on duty made no effort to clean it up despite there being no customers to serve.

Pity I wasn't doing a mystery shopping assignment!

  • £3 for a Burger King coffee? Where on earth were they charging such a crazy price?

In London you can get a cheesburger meal,(burger, fries and a drink inc. coffee) for £2.29. They seem to have switched from extremely weak Nescafé to some kind of bean to cup system. It's still on the poor side of average but is at least drinkable.

Hi Everyone - me and the OH had a Mc'd's the other day and all he wanted was a chicken burger without lettuce. when we got the burger there wasn't lettuce or mayo. i went and asked for some mayo and I kid you not, there was at least 10 tablespoons slopped into the bun.
Thing is Mcd's can say all they like about how good the benefits working for them are - not just a mc joc etc - but what do they expect when customers like us two - and all you others MSER's get treated like !!!!....Rarrr
