I was told over the phone on wednesday mine had been done. My first payment went in today. My payments have halved to £20 a week despite CAB and the 2 online calculators telling me we should have been getting around £70 a week for the past few months. I have a print out from CAB giving me the 'rough' calculation as to what we should have been getting.

I've been on Maternity leave since the beginning of the year and I suspect they haven't factored that in.

Am now waiting for the award notice to see if I can figure it out, which I very much doubt.

It just seems to go on and on :(.

  • its a nightmare, since the "award" I have had an additional payment of £250, plus a demand for £210.

I dont know if I am Arthur or Martha.

how stupid... did it give any explanation in the demand?

Award notice arrived today. I have had an overpayment of almost £300. I still can't work it out as the figures I have on the letter (from the P60s) give a different amount due to us on entitledto.com and the online benefits calculator on the HMRC website

finally got my documents today, finalising 2010-11 and new award for this year!!!! only nearly 5 months to resolve!

The documents didnt come in the normal large envalope but a small brown one with an apology letter, referring to the e-mail i sent to the director, so lloks like thats the reason its been speeded up. They had paid me a small underpayment of £79 which i dont think its correct, but they have increased my weekly amounts to what i saw on entitled to.
  • Hi, is anyone still waiting for their final award notice? I renewed on the phone a couple of weeks before the deadline with two late changes - husband not worked since Jan and no childcare since Jan. I am still getting money in the bank, but I am having anxiety attacks as our budget is so finely balanced and and I can't deal with not knowing! i rang in aug and they said it was being processed. I can't cope with ringing them again!!!

Have you told them you're on maternity leave? your annual income should be £100 less for each week you received SMP or MA - sometimes the advisers know this and sometimes they have to be told!
  • And sometimes you tell them three times and they still disregard it!

I did tell them twice. I will check the paperwork again and see what it says. I find the last bit of remaining baby brain and too much paperwork really don't mix.

Would it make a reference to the SMP/Maternity Leave on the letter? it doesn't say anything about it.

    Thanks ☺
