My CTC have not been paid. I phoned them and they say I have not sent my renewal...I have!!! :-( Tried to call them again today to complain as they did this with my first claim last year and cannot get through. I don't have enough money to be on hold on my mobile or phonebox. Does anyone have an email address I can contact them through or advice on what to do please?? Can't believe they are doing this again. I had to write to my MP last year as they took Months to set up my claim after messing me around numerous times.
Help please!!!0 -
Sorry I dont have an email address but I did get through no problem at 2pm yesterday so it might be a good time to try.
I spoke to someone very helpful and discovered there was still a flag on my account for a change of circumstances.
I went through everything with them and was put on hold briefly and then they came back, and said it was because my husband had recently changed his address so we werent living together.
This was news to me, as I am certain that was him last night at home.
We have however taken over ownership of a run down house and he has had to have his payslips delivered there for a couple of months.
this meant that they somehow had different addresses for me and my husband. This was holding up the payments.
My issue is if there is a query why dont they tell you there is a query!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Exactly the same has happened to me today went to the bank no moneys so immediately rang them they say they have not had my renewal which i sent off months ago...... was on the phone for apx 20 mins going through my info but they said they could not tell me when it would be reinstated...... this money £80 per week is what I use to live on ie fuel to work and groceries etc also 30 of it is paid to the council by standing order to pay for rent arrears, I have no money what so ever ........ its a dead end situation as how do i get to work? I travel 25 miles each way for my job and even using public transport costs 26 pound a week.
Any advice anyone

Id contact the council and make an interim arrangement. Dont just stop paying. The last thing you need is any enforcement action.
Is there anyone you could lend money off, family etc?
Stop evenings out and cut down on food spends in the meantime, use whats in the freezer and fridge, see how long you can stretch what you do have.
Any chance of an advance at work? Check with your supervisor / payrol department.
Ring tax credits again in a few days, and just check its actually being processed now. thats been where mine has gone wrong.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
i've yet another letter today, after being told numerous times there was no problem, just a backlog, the letter i received today said my case has been passed to a specialist team and will contact me when the problem with my renewal was resolved!!
I'm fuming, called the number it said to ring if you had a any questions, they said they couldnt help me, as the specialist team had my file, i asked to speak to them and apparently they dont come on phone, so why does it have a number to call for information if they dont have your file?. The helpful chap then said "i dont know why your complaining at least your still getting paid every week..." yes i am but not the right amount, you owe me money for last years underpayment, 17 weeks after renewal you havent finalised last years award despite the website saying it shouldnt take longer than 8 weeks, and everyone i speak to tells me something different, he said "like i said your still getting paid so have no reason to complain and when the problems resolved we'll write to you, but dont know how long it will take"

Been a day for it. I rang them up again today.
They said your award has been finalised.... drum roll.... and its the same 18 pounds as it is now.
They said its because there has been no changes.
I said there have, and I went through them with an advisor.
I was on maternity leave last year, had to rake through my handbag for my P60, ring back again adn give the figures.
The advisor then advised that 5 thousand pounds "doesnt make much difference" and it may go up a tiny bit.
On entitled to, AND hmrcs own engine, we are being underpaid by £100 a week.
Am very very upset and annoyed that its taken me Five phone calls for NOTHING to happen to my award.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
I checked entitled to too and that indicated i was being underpaid.
Its an absolute joke really how they cant get it sorted, the left hand doesnt seem to know what the right is doing, and now it looks like i'm being investigated by the 'specialist team'. I've nothing to hide its just stressing me out the not knowing!!0 -
I am ringing back tomorrow, I dont give a stuff now! I was giving them time and paying due consideration.

just phoned tax credits after finding that no payments have been made in my bank today. they informed me that they never recieved my renewal paperwork, i no i 100% that i sent it so it must have got lost in the post. my award has ended , ive just renewed over the phone but he couldnt give me a time scale for when payments would start again, any ideas?? to miss one weeks payment is going to be real hard never mind longer. also for some reason they had me down for working 16 hours not the 20hrs i do work, will this change my claim in anyway, the income they had for the year for me was for the 20hrs. will my payments from april untill now be classed as a over payment, or will it be put right with my new payments. thanks for any help0 -
