this is for red-boxer - (forgot to add quote!!)

renew at the moment and advise them you're waiting to see if son gets grades. I have twins one left school and I got CTC till 3/6 his leaving date, the other was going onto university but was waiting for grades, I got CTC till 31/8.

    hope this helps a bit

Thank you for your responses, i phoned them earlier and explained everything to them......they said that we would be paid up till the end of August, and to let them know if he has been accepted on his college course and they would continue the payments.

I posted a letter (sent recorded delivery) to the Tax Credit Office 4 days ago now & according to Royal Mail's Track & Trace service, it still hasn't arrived. If it was bulk signed, would this explain why it's showing up as not delivered?

I renewed at the beginning of june. I phoned twice during june and july and it was 'processing.' I recieved a letter in the post this morning (28th July) from the compliance team asking for p60s, wage slips, contracts of employment and childcare payments by Wednesday next week which is 4 working days from today. What a bunch of absolute nobs.

Even if it was bulk signed it would still be showing on Royal Mails website as delivered. Any I have sent have been signed simply "TCO"

    Hi Janey

If you have recently renewed your tax credits then this usually generates a one off miscellaneous payment when the system updates your renewal

Are you in Scotland? If you are Monday is a bank holiday http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcredits/payments-entitlement/payments/next-payment-due.htm and payments were made yesterday instead of Monday.

i wouldnt worry too much about the early payment. Maybe as the above poster says the payment you received is just a payment generated by your renewal.
