O2 Broadband - Cheaters

If someone else is oving into your house O2 may let you change the broadband into their name, they offered to do this for me today although i wasn't in contract with them.
I cancelled my broadband with them today - I have had it for 2 years and it was an excellent service, unlimited wireless for £7.50 per month, and no issues other than the router needing replaced once which was quickly sorted.Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
I see you would just swallow if someone had sold you a wrong good just to be a good customer. It is their mistake and they have to pay for it not me !!! And it doesnt matter why I want to cancel it as if they did not make that mess I woudl've just paid a cancelation fee but now why should I let them to get away? If you buy something let's say a 3D and only try to see your first 3D film in a few months after you;ve bought the TV. And then you find out it is not a 3D TV, you sholud be able to return it and get a refund though you were watching a normal programs as THIS IS NOT THE GOOD you have purchased. To be honest it's a !!!!!!! mess. Sounds like you're trying to get out of your 12 month contract as you are flitting (thanks Kim...!) to somewhere that has free BB included in the rent?0 -

I used to have unlimited for £7.50 before, no issues either however that is not the case anymore0 -
Thing is though, they sold you a service, which you've been using to it's limit it seems since November. O2 don't need to pay for anything, all they need to do it move you onto the higher priced plan which has more flexibility, which they have offered to do.
Silly example here, but it will do. If one bought some toothpaste, used the whole tube and then needed more, but didn't need to buy it because one was going somewhere that could provide with toothpaste. One couldn't say "Oi Mr Retailer, I ran out of this toothpaste, it's all gone now so I don't want it any more, but you owe me for this"
O2 have offered to move you onto the higher plan. The error has cost you nothing extra as it was a cheaper plan. In fact you've gotten 20GBs worth of films out of the deal that we know of. O2 aren't liable because you've decided you want to move locations and therefore don't want to pay them any more. This post was brought to you from the vortex of a human psyche, it was approved by my poor judgement. :T0 -
Just an observation - for the first three months you didn't notice that you were paying less than you wanted to for the better package? As you can't have gone over the 20GB limit for that package, did O2 effectively do you a favour that you gave them less than you would have done and had the same service experience?
Maybe they messed up your package choice, sure, but people make mistakes. That does nod nullify or void the contract - even if it did breach one term of the contract, just about every contract I've read has a clause that in that circumstance all other clauses still stand. You're in for what you signed up for!
BTW what is the site? I used to use a Russian MP3 site, amybe this is similar?0 -

So as they are allowed to make a mistake and get away with it unpunished would that mean that if I by mistake cancel my Direct debit to them, they would not punish me? ... I don't think so0 -

One suspects your the thief and not O2. You want to watch football streams - Illegal.
You download lots of films in such a short space of time from a russian website(link please) for only a fiver a week. Yet any reputable company who does films nowadays has a time limit on you as its not a 'bought film' merely hired yet you manage it from a russian website..
How much music have you downloaded for free too?
They offered to upgrade you - take the upgrade as they made a mistake - you also were not paying for the package you requested to you have saved a few quid so pay for the upgrade. And a lot of ISPs do a capped unlimited offer."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
You wouldn't by any chance know someone in Nigeria would you? This post was brought to you from the vortex of a human psyche, it was approved by my poor judgement. :T0
