I am looking to order some glasses from Glasses Direct. I'm not sure yet if I am going to get the order with the second frame free or not, I am waiting for the home trial. To get the second pair free, I have to order one of the pairs at £55 or over, but the two pairs I am interested in are both in the sale so don't qualify.
They have an offer on that if someone refers you, you get £30 off your first order and the person who has referred you gets a £15 Amazon voucher. Would anyone who has bought from them like to pm me their name so we can take up that offer if I do decide to buy the sale frames which is looking the most likely at the moment?

    Thanks,much appreciated.

If it helps anyone - the MSE offer has finished now but they have another offer on their website, if you pick a frame at £55 or over, you get the usual second one free but the current offer is first frame half price, plus 40% off lens coatings etc if you need them and free postage - so technically you could get 2 pairs for £27.50 upwards if you just need basic lenses and frames. If you only want one pair but need the extras, you can have 20% off as long as the one you choose is over £55
    Hope that helps.
  • So true, wonder if these people would buy a pair of shoes for £9.99 and expect to wear rhem all day every day for a couple of years!!.

And who exactly are 'these people?'
What is the point you are trying to make?
  • This deal is a con , you will be able to use your voucher no problem , but expect to pay about £30 above what you are expecting they tell you lenses are out of stock (big charge), add all the bits too it scratch, tint , anti glare ect including £4 recorded delivery then not return your frames as you refuse to pay the price , BUT ONLY SEND CHEAP FRAMES In becasuse you wont get them back !
i'm trying ineedspex , which is cheaper ,check them out.

I won't bother thanks. There are too many good reviews for Glasses Direct, so they must have very satisfied customers. I am not having the basic lens, I have added up all the extras I need and know what I have to pay. There is no delivery charge. They will have no frames to return as I am not having new lens in my own glasses, I am buying new. I have seen the quality of the frames I want to buy as I was able to have numerous home trials until I find ones I like.
You obviously have only come on here to advertise a company you have links to, you have not read the thread.

I needed new reading glasses for work. I ordered from Glasses Direct with the code and have just received 2 pairs of the best glasses I have had. They fit perfect and cost £19. RESULT.
  • I went for the "Reglaze My Glasses" MSE £10 discount offer. Although I ended up buying a more expensive pair of lenses once I had paid I received an email saying that it would take 10 to 15 business days in the lab. Considering my lens is a very basic one it's an appalling turn around time. Maybe they'll arrive sooner. Also note that they don't answer the phone.
