  • I've my glasses for over two years, but I love them more than the newer pair I got made up recently. Because they are half frames, the bottom of the lenses had gotten chipped and the lenses were scratched. Not a chic look.
When I heard on Money Saving Expert that ReglazeMyGlasses were offering a £10 discount to overhaul my beloved specs I requested a pre-paid box online which I received the next day. I posted them right away and got a call-back within days offering various options and I chose a basic lens with scratch-resist coating. There was absolutely no annoying up-selling pressure ( unlike my original provider).
They told me to expect the glasses back within 10-14 days and I received them well before the outside date. I'm really pleased - I have an - almost - brand new pair of specs with the frame that I really like, for less than £20.
Thanks to all the staff at ReglazeMyGlasses

I'm editing my review, below, as the nose pads fell off my specs 4 days after I received them back from Reglazemyglasses! When I contacted them, they promised 4 times to post me replacement pads and screws. 10 days later, I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THEM! I won't be using Reglazemyglasses again!

"Reglazemyglasses.com are excellent. I've just had my Bifocals reglazed by them and I'm delighted. The lenses are perfect, and the service was fab.

They check the frame, and they even replaced the nose pads on my specs! They don't charge extra for that - it's all part of the service.

If you're wondering what they do with your old lenses, they return them to you with your newly glazed specs.

You choose the postage service you want (1st Class, Recorded Delivery, or Special Delivery), and the price changes accordingly".

A word of warning, concerning the Royal Mail's ability to lose our post..... Choose postage that will compensate for the value of your specs if they go missing in the post! The Royal Mail will pay compensation of only £20 on First Class, and £50 on Recorded Delivery. I think Special Delivery compensation pays £500.

Reglazemyglasses send you a postage-paid box to send your specs to them, and will charge you postage x 2, for your specs on the way to them, and posting them back to you.

    Fab, fast, and very cheap!

P.S. Our Posties are wonderful people! I'm just not very impressed with the company they work for.......

I'm adding this to my initial, excellent, review, as the nose pads fell off my specs 4 days after I received them back from Reglazemyglasses! • Hi, I reglazed my glasses with Reglazemyglasses and can report an efficient service. I called the number they sent a return box, sent glasses and prescription, received a call a few days later checking my requirements and requesting payment. I then received the glasses about 10 days later.

    I can recommend the services.

That just goes to highlight the importance of having a spare pair of specs, rather than being dependent on just the one pair.

You never know what could happen to them.

Followed postage instructions on ReglazeMyGlasses. When the glasses arrived there, they telephoned me to discuss my requirements ( wednesday 26th June )
I was not able to speak to them untill 1st July (due to my own commitments) spoke to them on Monday 1st july, the staff are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with, and more than that there was a £10 discount available when I applied, so my lenses were only £9. My glasses arrived on Thursday 11th July, well within the 10 working days of return, given that I could not speak to them untill the 1st, and my glasses are perfect, with new nose pieces and tightened arms. I would certainly use the company again and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Delighted with the service from the company. Good old fashioned service and quick with the return of new glasses.
Just sending off another pair to get them updated too.

15 year old glasses look like new now.

Note that reglazemyglasses ask their customers to put a review up on mse with the carrot of being entered into a draw for a £120 pair of raybans. (Though they don't say exactly when the draw will take place)., though do suggest ebaying them if you win??

They are cheap, but very slow, and other online companies match their prices with much quicker turnround. It looks like they are a selling outfit who outsource the work which may account for the weeks involved in waiting.

ReglazeMyGlasses, you have to ask MSE for permission to post.

As regards Trust Pilot, you pay them a fee and in return you're allowed to vet all reviews. Many unscrupulous companies delete the bad reviews and add plenty of decent, made up ones of their own. Of course I'm not saying you do that...
