Indeed. That doesn't negate doing the job though, and charging for it. If the frame does break, you could also offer to repair it for a fee."There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. I have used this company. They were excellent and I will certainly use them again when I need my next prescription.
I can't comment on their financial strength, however.0 -
My prescription has changed and I have just picked up 2 new pairs of specs. I'm looking for a new pair of prescription sunglasses but my regular optician has a very small selection at the moment. Can anyone suggest an online site that has a nice selection with some decent prices?0

I had a voucher out of the advantage card machine at boots that gave half price sunglasses. It included prescription ones. It may be just in store though.0

Out of interest nedmundo, would a scanned copy of my GOS2 (prescription satisfy this requirement?
Sorry PMDuk, just spotted this. I suspect that would be fine, as it would be no different to using a faxed prescription.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

I've recently been trying to buy specs online but found it difficult for two reasons: firstly I can't use my NHS optical voucher against lenses online, and secondly, my high street optician's prescription doesn't contain my PD or Pupilary Distance. I have just signed an online petition but do you have any advice? I'm also a mature student but found no student deals in conjunction with other offers - is this allowed?I save, therefore I am...0

Goggles4u have an ongoing offer on Varifocal /Progressive lens of aprox.£24.00 for the lenses and £2 or £3 for the frames.
I recently got 2 pairs delivered for £52.00
Problem with Goggles4u is their prices are a mess. I click on a £15.99 pair of glasses and up comes a £249 pair! Every cheap pair I have clicked on tonight was a completely different pair when it came to the checkout. None of the really nice and "apparently" cheap frames were in fact the same as the original picture.0 -
Any deals on prescription sunglasses?0
