If you're considering purchasing from Direct Sight, go through Topcashback and you get 18% cashback also! So it's extra fantastic0

This to me is a bit of a con i bought this deal last year for Ray ban aviators and got them for about £45/50 but even with the so called deal you are paying too much its not a genuine bargain shop about.[0

I've been shopping around for new glasses for a while now and www . glasses2you . co . uk seem to have the best deals on regularly.
Particularly good are their rimless prices (although be aware they use polycarbonate lenses for their rimless which I believe most other opticians (in the UK at least) don't. They say its a plus but I've read the optics from polycarbonate aren't as good as other materials)
But what tempted me was the inclusion of high index (ultra thin) lenses as free on some of their frames. If you have a high prescription like me that whacks £40 at least onto your bill with any glasses online I've found, so all the buy one get one free deals around aren't very cheap for me if I have to pay for thin lenses on each pair!
I ordered a pair from them on the 6th. Whilst they're taking a while to arrive (they had a query about my prescription after I ordered, which I rather they have than just plain get it wrong!) they've been fairly easy to get hold of with good customer service. (with my frames due to be dispatched on the 16th)
Hope this helps someone, buying prescription glasses can be torturous and wallet sapping!0 -
Looks like a mine-field out there. Bought my tags. They took a couple of weeks but the beauty of tags is they seem to fit without the need for adjustments. Very happy with them and price pretty impressive. :j0

I can recommend you opticians where you can buy designer glasses at really competitive prices at Leightons Opticians.0

I've searched the thread and the article for 10 minutes on how to get the DirectSight £50 voucher, but can't find the details anywhere in the article or this thread. Help, anyone?Jumbo

Unsure of the directsight one - I used buddyboom11 for eyebuddy (.co.uk) which gave me 5% off and says valid all this year.0

Tried to take advantage of the £29 offer today and unforuntately apparently my perscription doesnt work with there standard lenses (Although it does with 3 other companies i have used) so the offer doesnt work for me.
Called C Blue instead and paying £26 to get my old ones reglazed instead.0 -
I took advantage or the latest £29 lensway deal, early this morning and bought through topcashback,i paid £29 for my glasses, which normally retail @ £149 and my tracked amount is £30.09,which = them paying me £1.09 to take a pair of designer glasses off their hands.
Of course there is a good chance that the cashback will be declined as it involved using a code not issued by TCB,but, you have to be in it to win it and if it pays it is a fantastic bonus on top of a deal i was happy with, without any cashback at all.
The moral of the story is,the higher the original price of your glasses, the more cashback you get,so basically any glasses £149 or more, you are going to get POTENTIALLY free glasses with a small profit.
This deal ends at midnight tonight.0 -
Would have liked to order a pair but I can't read my prescription doh!!
Sphere is clear enough but then I appear to have something like Add +1.15 and can't make out the rest of the writing. Never mind maybe next time. LOL0
