Hi all,
I've just found reading glasses with a free case included from £4.00 a pair upwards-including sunglases and bi-focals-generally well under £10 a pair at www.eyelids.co.uk a UK based company who deliver for a flat rate of £2/pair or free any order over £30.I'm going to try purchasing my next few pairs from them instead of buying from abroad.They speak my language so if there is a problem I can get a straight answer from this family run firm over the phone using a local rate Birmingham phone number.

Can anyone reccomend a good site to buy glasses from with good delivery times? Sick of waiting from select spec.

i'm happy with lensway so far .... also been waiting with selectspecs since end jan, which is just bad service ....

Hello!
I was about to place an order on Selectspecs for replacement lenses in an old pair of frames, but after doing a bit of research, I'm not so sure about ordering from them now!
Can anyone recommend an on-line service for this, Selectspecs were going to charge £37.50 + delivery.

You can get a new frame and lenses for that price!

I think perfect glasses are cheaper for reglazing but i've not used them.

Lensway seem to be good.

Yes - got some varifocal sunglasses for my wife from there. They were superb - both customer service and quality.

not from selectspecs but another retailer. My lensway turned up within a week, fedex delivery.

Good luck there!!! I ordered just after Christmas 2010 and noticed, when checking progress, that they had ''cancelled'' my frames as no longer available (BUT they didn't think to TELL ME!)...very small bottom of page print! re-ordered at same price as suggested (yip, they had kept my money!)....they still kept my money but did not deliver....many emails to their non-English speaking auto-response-unit :exclamati ...eventually i had to re-order ''fresh'' and, after i'd paid again, they finally refunded the first payment :question:
STILL WAITING FOR MY 29/01/2011 glasses from Hong Kong...wonder if i'll face Customs Charges as well?????:(
