  • Has anyone used Brille 24 ?

All in one price including coatings of £40 + £5 delivery (from Germany) but no choice of thinner lenses (it just says "Extra-slim plasticlenses" without giving a size)
    http://www.brille24.co.uk/

I do like the upload a photo and try on frames feature. :)

Did a search on MSE and nothing came up so anyone got feedback on them?

I've also ordered some glasses from Selectspecs. They arrived on Friday but, I can't wear them as the lenses appear warped - they give me very bad headaches. Their customer service is painful though, even though in my first email to them I pre-empted the inevitable 'have you checked you entered the correct prescription' response and informed them that I had checked and had even attached the email with my order in my very first email to them. Sure enough this was still the first response that I received.

It makes me think that they get so many complaint emails about their products they have automatic responses already written out.

Lesson for me - buy cheap, buy twice, as they say!

When did you order them?? I've still had no bloody response grrrr!

And if it seems too cheap to be true, it probably is.

I ordered them on 23rd Jan. So, they arrived in just over 10 days.

At the mo' the chinese new year could be affecting any deliveries from Hong Kong I guess - but you should at least be kept informed!
  • I used http://www.wantglasses.co.uk/ last week and they were pretty good. I ordered 2 standard pairs of glasses which were delivered within a week and another 2 pairs which were customised as sunglasses which took a further week to arrive.

The quality of glasses are pretty good and i have no problems recommending them after reading some of the bad reviews i had seen posted online.

Total price for 2 pairs of glasses and 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses were £89 delivered in cases. Bargain.

I find that a lot of other online glasses sites either dont accomodate my prescription on their 'cheap' offers or want to charge me more for my prescription.

So to sum up wantlgasses if you buy a pair of glasses with standard lenses delivery is pretty quick but if you customise the lenses they will take longer to make/mount which is understandable.

That's doesn't seem such a bargain. This lot can be bought for a lot cheaper. Sunglasses are only prescription glasses with a tint on.

    I'm beginning to believe this!

At least I have my 2 designer pairs from Asda to fall back on. Quality and service was the best.

Do you know roughly how long it was from them getting shipped? They finally got in touch today they've been shipped, when I originally ordered they said I could have a parcel tracking number, now apparently not!

Hope they are ok when they do arrive!

For those of you if any are after more premium frames and top range hydrophobic lenses I got a pair of Oaleys for a good price from Iris Opical. I grant you not as cheap as some others but they also have shops in London if you want to visit first.

I did attempt to post a link but I am still a new user.
  • Has anyone used specky four eyes? I have noticed there is a deal on the grabbit board for very basic prescription glasses for £7.99. Has anyone recently received any glasses from them and are they any good? Thanks in advance.
