received my order from Selectspecs ....
to the Selectspecs Rep ... I need to return these due to some issues ... how do I do this and get some replacements?0 -
Selectspecs rep? What's the usual procedure in returning unacceptable glasses and getting replacements?0

Tifo - it may be a great 'deal', but does the time spent ordering and hassle with returning really justify the saving?Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

I thought Tifo ordered from Lensway and not Selectspecs?"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

from both .... just a few spare pairs!
i didn't come across lensway until the offer and had ordered from selecspecs by then.0 -
the glasses from selectspecs came with scratched lenses and this is not what was expected (or even advertised!).
plus they split the delivery so i haven't received a pair of rimless glasses which were at a higher price than the others.
i need to wait 25 working days before they will replace and have to send photos of the scratched lenses before they will believe me. I thought as soon as they get the glasses back they will see the scratched lenses. I informed them as soon as i received and opened the package.
other than the scratched lenses, there's nothing wrong with them (in quality) though of course you don't get (or expect) the same as getting a designer pair from the UK.
haven't received the lensway glasses yet, though sent some days ago.0 -
after reading this thread im regretting ordering from selectspecs!! there website is very misleading, i ordered from them as they were mentioned on mse and a uk company. i wanted the glasses quickly for an upcoming holiday. its now been a week and my glasses have only just gone into quality control and dispatch, to be honest im not even sure if this means they are finished! the status' are so confusing and every time i contact them they just dont answer my questions!!! it should state clearly that they are coming from hong kong as it is now 9 days until my hol so probably without the glasses!
wish i had stuck with goggles4u. cant praise these enough, i ordered a pair of glasses and when i returned to the home page i saw there was actually an offer code i could of used, i opened the live chat and the advisor added the code on and refunded the difference even though i had already made the order! i used express shipping and the glasses were here in under a week! only £13.50 including express delivery! the live chat is brilliant and any questions you ask are answered straight away.
i guess you learn from your mistakes, just hope these glasses are ok, ive ordered 3 pairs so selectspecs was slightly cheaper.0 -

I've seen the site but all the prices are in dollars($) so it's a bit hard figuring out what you pay unless you have the exchange rate to hand.0 -
I've also ordered some glasses from Selectspecs. They arrived on Friday but, I can't wear them as the lenses appear warped - they give me very bad headaches. Their customer service is painful though, even though in my first email to them I pre-empted the inevitable 'have you checked you entered the correct prescription' response and informed them that I had checked and had even attached the email with my order in my very first email to them. Sure enough this was still the first response that I received.
It makes me think that they get so many complaint emails about their products they have automatic responses already written out.
Lesson for me - buy cheap, buy twice, as they say!0
