I drive at speed limits in built up areas and seldom go over 50mph on motorways & duel carriageways?

The national speed limit for a motorway and dual carriageway is 70mph!!!

My car hates doing 45-50, it's not quite fast enough for 5th gear!!! which means im either laboring the engine in 5th or over revving in 4th!

Speed does NOT equate to fuel consumption!

Do you drive around with only your parking lights on too? to save fuel?

I like listening to Classic FM at 90 mph - so there. And, people, is it 'dual carriageway', A 'duel' is something completely different.

    Well we all aren't perfect.

I have driven on motorways recently and not everyone goes at 90mph....

No i'm not an exmainer and never have claimed to be i was just relating what i was taught which someone on this thread did say they were taught too...

As for the number of schools i had, it's funny i actually talked to people who were doing their driving test at the same time as me so i found out what other schools were like....

Even thought it is none of your business i did actually have 3 instructors. First one was when i was younger and he thought teaching someone to drive mean't going round and round the same bit of road so i found another one. Unfortuantely though i had to move at the time and couldn't afford lessons anymore. I then did pass my test many years later after my long term illness went into relapse....

As for the tailbacks, yes they happen all the time around here because unfortunately the funding in Scotland is non exisitent when it comes to upgrading roads...

    Im fully aware.....

However 50 is 20mph below this limit, what would happen if some random idiot drove through all 30 zones at 10mph?

How would the OP feel if he got stuck behind a cyclist for a good few miles??
