Ebay sales awful

Lorian wrote:From a buyer's point of view, Ebay is becoming a pain, here are the reasons I feel this way:
1. Too much "chinese" merchandise to sift through, often pretending to come from UK or EU sellers.
2. Too many fakes.......
Totally agree. Some of the fake designer bags and clothes are shocking - even someone with no knowledge of these products can see they're dodgy and EBay seems to do nothing about it. Some Chinese sellers have about 30-40 auctions of the same handbag in lots of different colours - and these are bags which are rare or have a waiting list in the rest of the world! Having been to Hong Kong and seen many of these fakes close up, I can assure you they're really bad and most are not even leather.
From the selling side, I mostly sell CDs which I get via my job and don't want to keep for myself. Two years ago, I sold everything first time - now I sometimes have to relist. A couple of weeks ago a load of CDs only sold for 99p.
However, this week I've listed more, mostly utter !!!!!! and they are really taking off! I really think the whole thing is so random - I've sold nice box sets and popular CDs for only a quid or two, and I've sold cheapo CDs for £26 which are available new on Amazon for £4. I'm really none the wiser...........

i am totaly fed up with ebay . been selling for a long time . had some good sales last week but this week is terrible . i have 24 items on , only 2 with bids . some watchers but that means nothing these days as that`s all they do watch !!! . 10 of these sales are due to finish tomorrow evening .
i was going to list another load of collectables next week but i don`t think i`ll bother now !!! .0 -
You're allowed more than ID so long as they don't interact with each other (e.g. bidding on your own stuff is obviously not allowed).mrs_deadline wrote:Hope you don't mind me asking Lorian, how do you set up a separate account? Doesn't the system pick up that the name and address are already registered to an ID?0 -
Got to say sales are going well, i sell dvds & cds and i just checked there, all this weeks items have bids with at least 4 watchers. I only do 3 day sales and always start on a WednesdayWell I Love Tv And I Love T. Rex, I Can See Through Your Skirt I've Got X-Ray Spex0

Ebay is remarkably slow on the lead up to xmas as the shops offer so many 3 for 2 etc unless you have of course the latest toy then you are going to make a killing if you sell it cheaper but other than that I usually leave it to after xmas, even January is slow, lack of money!! xx0
