Ebay sales awful

A couple of weeks ago there was a thread about poor sales. Mine started to go bad about that time, but have gone terminally downhill ever since.BIN just aren't going and bids are very low.

I started, paranoidally , to wonder if someone was slatting me!! I could have understood if I had had a recent negative. Has there been a low price listing day that I didn't know about.

Has anyone else had a slump?

Theres really no trends what so ever in ebay sales... maybe slight rises in the xmas months and dips in the holiday months but thats it.

Your probably just reading into it too much.

Some products are seasonal tho... duffle coats for winter or shorts for summer...
  • Hi
I have noticed a real slump, yes there are occasional dips, but this is going against the grain. Usually sales increase at the beginning and middle of month and in the run up to Xmas. I do hear what you are saying, but takings are £80 this weeks as opposed to a usual £350/400. I would be expecting them to go up not down!

One of my sayings are you can't second guess ebay, but this is worrying

Can you reveal what you sell? Fair enuff if you cant.

I find summer slow... but xmas months soon pic up at lightening speed.

I put around 20 things on at the weekend and they all have start bids, most are up to silly money like a t-shirt I paid 5 quid for is up to 15?!?!
  • Yeah, I've had that a bit recently - a couple of really cheap BIN items didn't go and no intrest on a potential Christmas Pressie.

September I did £2600, October was up to £3400, so no, I have to say ebay sales are up. I'm shutting my shop because of the fee hikes, and I've seen store sales drop through the floor, but BINs are up. Auctions are almost useless though.

Dead, dead and dead again! I usually sell all my stuff but I have 9 things on and after days not one has a watcher even! I don't put anything in an auction that I don't think is up to scratch. I've also had similar things (to the ones I'm selling) go really well a few weeks ago.

I'm thinking of giving it up! I can't stand the waiting for my ebay buzz! It is sod's law though that I really need the money at the moment.

Bad for me too. Although I am just selling my clothes at the moment. Occasional single bids at low starting prices. I have made.... £10 this past week!! The only consolation is that I was aiming to do a carboot with these items and then I'd be lucky to get 20-50p per item, so ten whole quid is a huge amount . However, if I try to buy something, all these bidders go crazy and I never win due to high prices. Sod's law I suppose.
I just sold the most beautiful cocktail dress, which is too small for me, for £1.99. Serves me right for not starting it higher. Ho hum.
    :wall:
  • Ditto here also, I think I'll give up till after christmas as my items are not suitable for pressies usually.
