Vodafone are a joke

  • It's all wrong how Vodafone treat customers though. Surely if their management team look at how many transactions are not resolved first time they would realise their untrained monkeys are costing them a fortune.

I apologise if there are Vodafone staff who really care on this forum, I am sure there must be (web relations team you're a PR machine and don't count, you just pretend to care). The vast majority of Vodafone customer facing staff only know the basics, we go around in circles, we speak to you several times - pay to train your staff to get things right and it will pay off in the long run.
  • I can't believe you are giving these nuggets a 4th and 5th chance.

if it were a shop in the high street would you be this forgiving?

    Hey all,

    Andrewash316 –

I’ve spoken to our eForum guys and they haven’t come across your user name, could you confirm that your eForum user name and the user name that you use here are the same please? If your post has been removed from the eForum, then it is likely that the team will have emailed you to request further details and let you know more about why your post was removed. Please check your junk email folder in case the email has been directed there.

As you have decided to cancel your deal with us and have instead taken a deal with Orange, I am keen to get everything sorted for you as soon as I can, so that you no longer have to worry about this. So that I can access your account, look into what is happening with your account and ensure that the account is closed properly for you could you please drop me an email via Web Relations Team quoting the code WRT135 in the subject line? (In the main message body, please include a link to this thread and your user name.) If you could also provide me with the 3 tracking numbers that you have, this will assist me in resolving this for you in the shortest possible time.

I am certain that we can help you with this and look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Thanks,

    Espi

  • I don't think it's necessarily just Vodafone that are the "bad guys" - I hear so many people complaining about phone companies, broadband, telelvision - I think we all get fleeced from time to time - I know people that have had similar problems with o2 and orange before. I'm with Vodafone at the minute and have had no problems at all. It is so frustrating trying to get things sorted out sometimes though

It is that frustration that causes people on here to be so fed up with Vodafone.

In the poll on this thread, Vodafone still come top of the shop for the network people wouldn't touch with a barge poll - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2682547

Yes there are other companies who cause problems. I am groaning about NPower at the moment because they are causing me problems as I leave them for another provider. I had a run-in a couple of years back with Virgin Media. None of these dug their heels in and were as ignorant as Vodafone however. Vodafone takes my award for the worst customer experience I have had with any UK company. That takes some effort for them to reach that coveted spot.
  • I must comment on Orange

Until recently things seemed to be going well, however I needed to contact customer servicies today

I had to call 10 times before I got through to someone in the UK, absolute tosh- I give them over £100 a month (3 contracts and 1 sim only) to find out they have reversed their decision to bring all call centres back to the UK.

So Vodafone are not the only ones who have no vision

Thanks for the update, at least you seem to be getting somewhere.

Lee from Vodafone tried defending their track record on customer service recently, saying part of the problem is they cannot tell us when they help a customer and it is down to the customer to share their news and feedback on complaints. I am pleased you have given us a position because this gives us a very clear idea how Vodafone's e-PR machine works.

(PS Vodafone, if you are unhappy with this response please feel free to PM me with 'WRT135' in the subject line and I will pretend to care without doing anything).
