It is spam. Can people please not click on the link as it has a referral ID attached to it (no doubt lou_lou88's). As is usual with these spam posts, you have to sign up, participate on a 'free' offer and get several other people to sign up to 'free' offers. Ebay is clogged up with people pretending to sell a console, but in reality they are trying to pass on their referral links.

I don't really see what the problem is with that?

Yes you take part in a completely free DVD trial refer people to do the same then receive a console totally free. It has worked for me twice so don't see why I shouldn't share my experience with other people.

It's their choice - just trying to help :mad:

It just lacks transparency.
If you're trying to entice people in order to benefit yourself, then you should at least be up-front about it.

I was up front about what it involves - is that not what I've just written above???

However, I don't agree with your point that "I am just trying to help myself". I am trying to help other people. If I was just trying to help myself, would I not have listed this a few months back when I first tried it rather than waiting to see if it worked before recommending anyone????

Theres some wicked ideas on here about where to get some great consoles for more reasonable prices. I'm waiting for the PS3 to come out next March, but if i had the money before Christmas (and an HDTV to fully enjoy the games on) i'd buy a 360 in a heartbeat at some of these prices.

For me, I think the best advise I can offer is to wait for the January sales (where i will be buying my HDTV) and see what the shops (high steet and online) and offering, and collectively gather them here.

I would also like to mention, that its probably not in your best interests to go getting a PS3 imported from ebay and the likes, as they wont be UK spec, and currently sell on ther for $8000!!! Just goes to show, never underestimate the power of a playstation! Kepp this thread going when its released though and we'll be golden. I'll probably get mine with game cos of my loyalty points. Just a thought, any current Game employees use this web site where they can post unofficial 'tips' of when certain games/consoles are going to have offers put on them. Theres nothing worse than buying a game, then the next day they decide to offer £10 off but you didnt know about it!

I also noted that a drop shipping company in China is offering the UK Model of the PS3 for $399. Thats a bargain that is too good to be true, and as such anyone thinking of rushing into picking up one of these bargains, dont!! If it looks too good to be true, it usually is!!!

You were not even remotely upfront in your first post and besides if you were trying to help others and not yourself, you could have simply provided them with the link without your referral ID. ie. http://www.consolegenie.co.uk There are rules on this forum about referrals - you can only put them in the referrers board.

I went to get the XBOX plus 4 games for £50 from the Argos offer today and they gave me an XBOX 360 by mistake, beat that for a bargain.
