sarymclary wrote:I bought an XBOX 360 FULL system from Boots.com via Quidco (earning 6.5% in cashback), I also found a voucher codes to claim: discount of 10% (£28), £5 off, free delivery (worth £6), and 1000 Boots Advantage Points (£10) on ukhotdeals.co.uk. I also paid using my LTSB AMEX card, which earned me cashback points too.
The offer with Boots ended in mid-September, but keep checking on the deals websites for others.
I estimated my savings to be in the region of £65, so I got a full system for £215, which I was very pleased with. My son has already agreed to sell his old XBox on Ebay to contribute to this, but thinks we can only afford the Core system and 1 game. The full system is better value in the long run as you will invariably want the wireless controller, hard drive, memory packs etc, which all add up in the end (IRO.£120) -he was going to have these extra bits for his birthday next year.
Look around for deals, and always try to go to a retailer via Quidco if you can to earn your cashback.0 -

vaderag wrote:Ok, if people arent bothered about getting it on release day (i dont think there is a guarentee), there is a 10% HMV voucher here: http://www.ukdiscountvouchers.co.uk/
which means you can get a Wii for 162 poundsThen, Play3k.com seem to be cheapest on games with Twilight Princess fro 29.99 and Wii Play + remote for 27.99 (1pound more than a remote on its own!) Hope thats helpful for someone!
don't use the 10% codes on a console, they are not valid, your order will go through and will then be uncerimoniously cancelled a few days later leaving you back at the end of the wii queue  :mad:0 -

I'm fairly new to Quidco myself so forgive me if I don't explain this well. I'm sure someone else could help. You could also search these forums for an answer.
Basically, Quidco is a referral site. You shop online by using the links on Quidco.com
Each link you click on and make a purchase with, will be tracked online and you will receive cash back. I believe that's how it works anyway.
Go to Quidco.com for a better explaination.0 -

Not sure if it's already been mentioned or if people are aware but...
http://www.find-games.co.uk/
Finds the cheapest games / consoles on the net. You can make some very substantial savings using this site.
Apologies if this does not come under the umbrella of 'console bundles'.0 -

Hi,
Quidco is a co-operative site, set up by people who thought it was a bit mean of other bigger sites getting cash for us clicking on a link. Basically, we get the cashback ouselves by introducing ourselves. My cashback is paid into my Paypal account (which I use on Ebay). I also got cashback on changing my electricity provider, so it's well worth doing your homework on price comparisons, check out the hotdeals.co.uk site for voucher codes and special offers, then go onto Quidco.co.uk to see if the company you want to purchase from is listed as a merchant offering cashback.
Have a good look on Quidco yourself to see how it works, register, and see which companies are listed - there are lots of big ones on there. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
