Great Cheap 'Games Console Package' Hunt

I was in Castle Court (Belfast) Argos today to pick up the £49.98 x-box deal I had reserved. When I got to the counter I was informed that yesterday some staff gave out 5 twinpacks of x-box instead of single ones! I had to go to another store to get mine but luckily it wasn't far away. And, before you ask, I only got a single one!!!

I used a tip from a thread on this site suggesting ordering the Xbox 360 package (rrp £309.00) from Great Universal after joining Quidco - got 20% off first order with great universal and free delivery took it to £247.20 and 8% back through Quidco - total price of £227.42p. The only catch is that I wanted to pay cash but Great Universal only apply the 20% discount for first orders when an account is opened.

I can live with that will just throw the catalogue, pay it as soon as invoice arrives and then close the account - jobs a good one !!!

Xbox arrived today and invoice for £247 from great universal - jobs a good one ! Had a few problems with delivery but can't complain really it was because I was at work so had to pick up from parcel depot but still a bonus as it is in my possession within a week and was a bargain !!! Just keeping my eye on quidco now for the final discount to take it to £227.42 !!!

Choices are offering ds lite plus any top game for £109.99, local shop in Tiverton had stock on Tues. Woolies are doing it for £105.99 but with their choice of game (can't remember which ones exactly, but I thing there was a Scooby Doo game amongst them) HTH

gamestation are offering the xbox 360 premium with two wireless controllers, rechargeable battery pack, PGR 3, Live Arcade Set, and Rainbow Six for 299. If i were to go into comet and ask them for their price promise, which is matching it and adding 10% discount, would they do it or just turn me away

gamestation or game,ring before you go,some have them some dont,mine had a few when i picked one up a few days ago. goodluck
