I will stock pile the usual stuff such as loo rolls and tea bags. Will just get a couple each time I pass the shop until the offer is done. Stock piled some tinned stewed steak as it was on an intro offer. Did not last us long as I make lots of stews in the slow cooker this time of year. Currently building a loo roll stock pile. 9 nicky elite for £1.99 in savers. Bulky to get more than one pack when I go into town on the bus.

Doing the opposite of stock piling with toiletries at the mo though as I have a few lotions and shampoos etc open so trying to use them up before buying more but could not resist an offer of 2 twin packs of simple soap for £1 where one pack alone was £1.08.
The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T
  • Another stock piler here checking in for some therapy.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We went to tesco's just for a moch at the weekend, Oh dear that was fatal.

    10 Cans of lynx
    6 boxes of wash capsules
    6 large bottles of comfort.

Morrisons is a regular weekly shop
and we now seem to have a small mountain of sharwoods prawn crackers, and uncle bens cooking sauces. The other week it was tea bags we now have enough for at least 6 months.

Not to mention the daily pop into the local co op this week.
Every day i buy 4 x 9 rolls of andrex and 2 Fairy liquids, theres going to be one big Andrex mountain in my house by the time the offer runs out on feb 8th:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

has anyone else noticed its pretty much the same stuff on offer at most supermarkets at once and then it seems to be cyclical?

eg recently i can't believe its not butter was reduced in sev supermarkets at the same time -tesco, morrisons and saisnburies around 50p, if i miss the offer or only manage to get a few i know it will be on again come another few months

same with coco pops, crisps, tropicana, cheese dunkers, mcvities mini hobnob packs

Ive been stocking up on pantene shampoo/conditioner recently from superdrug £1.75 instead of £3.77 offered finished now but hopefully my stockpile will last till next offer.
  • I love to have everything 'in stock' esp. toiletries and such like even i its not on offer I buy it if I'm in the shop as it means I won't run out. If I saw something like dishwasher tabs on a really good offer I'd be tempted to buy loads and store in the garage if I had no space in the house :)

Thank god it's not just me!! My kids when they visit think I'm absolutely mad, as they wade their way through packets of loo paper and kitchen towel. I had a seriously bad time at Christmas when they accused me of mad-bag-lady hoarding.

I showed this thread to my daughter, just to inform her that I wasn't alone in my madness - her reply was that, not only was a still a mad-bag-lady, I obviously had too much time on my hands!

    Cheeky madam!
  • All my friends think my partner and I are mad when it comes to stockpiling things - however they're the first to say ooohhh - have you got any ........ as I've just run out! We've currently got about a 4year supply of Finish Quantum that were on offer a few months ago at Home and Bargain - i think it was 2.99 for 40 100% extra free? Then we're still getting through the stockpile of washing powder from there too - footprints eco or something? was 59p for 12/15 washes - which to be honest has been fab - even with 3 boys mucky washing! As for beans well lets just say if Branston ever run short I could probably help them out for a few weeks lol! I alwalys keep an eye out for the bargains each week and again - if it won't go off then I have no issue buying a years worth so I dont have to buy it each week.
  • I stumbled across more items to stockpile in Sainsbury's this afternoon! Packs of Quaker Paw Ridge (original flavour only - sell by date of Sept 2011), reduced to 50p per pack of 10 sachets. Also the 822 gram jars of Mincemeat (as given the heads up to in another thread) reduced to 25p per jar (sell by date of August 2012) And that's not all! Taste the Difference Matured Mincemeat (411 gm - sell by date of Aug 2011) also reduced to 25p. Guess what my trolly was packed with! (And for the cynics on here, yes they are things I will use!)

    hi there
just read through the thread. Yep another stockpiler here. In fact the thing that really gets my goat is not being able to stockpile meat because my freezer is too small.
