I picked up a box of those on my way to work yesterday but haven't used any yet, are they good? Should I buy more quickly?
When we moved our kitchen to another room I kept the fridge freezer and the wall cupboards up in the old one (spare bed will go where the base cupboards were) so I'd have extra storage space but they're currently occupied by 2 pillows and a duvet until we get a proper bed that can be left made up.
I really need to get that room finished so I can build my own baked bean mountain!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
I've also done this for years, mainly on loo rolls, washing liquid/fabric conditioner, dishwasher tabs, toothpaste, soap. To be honest anything non perishable.
Then coffee/tea, cereals, and obviously baked beans. Who doesn't hoard baked beans?????
The habit does require adequate storage space, my meter cupboard under the stairs is rammed. Tassimo discs, huge bag of rice and a huge bag of pasta, not to mention massive bags of cat biscuits. I hate it when the meter readers visit, it takes me 15 minutes to empty the cupboard for them to see the meters.
I'm also voting for great bulk finds to get a post of their own, great idea. We might even get our finds on the weekly email, whoop whoop.

I buy anything and everything in bulk thats on offer if its something i use regularily. Im tend to come on here and look for any bargains and then go to each of the big supermarkets websites and check out whats on special offer. Im lucky that i have all the supermarkets within a 5 mile radius and i will drive to each one to buy the cheap items. Im over flowing with branston beans, pepsi and coffee. Like others have said i take things like mince beef etc out of their packets and then put them in freezer bags in the freezer. Why pay full price for anything when you can stock up when its on offer.
I also vote for a thread dedicated to bulk buys (better start making some more room in my house)0 -

Hi could anyone tell me if these 2 offers are still on, as I have just opened last bottle of shampoo from the John Fredia glitch from Mr Ts early last year. And you can never have enough tooth paste. :T
PS only have 4 x 18 packs of loo roll left, getting withdrawal systems as I havnt bought any for a few months LOLI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I try and buy cupboard essentials when they are on offer, so I don't pay full price on many things.
Got lots of loo roll and same with kitchen roll. I get twitchy if I think I'm going to run out (keep thinking about the time there was a shortage in Finland! - it won't happen here!!) There are 2 large packs of Lidl's washing powder under the bed in the spare room. Got lots of tins of beans, tomatoes etc in the space beside the boiler. My chest freezer is full, as is the freezer bit of our side by side in the kitchen. Still can't resist RTC bargains when I'm shopping though.0 -
Some people may call it hoarding. I call it being prepared.
Why pay full price for the basics when you can get them for silly prices when on offer?
My kids always said they knew what was on offer by what they were fed each week. Nowadays they think I'm a bit eccentric buying the stuff I do especially as I'm on my own but I've said that they'll not be laughing when I can give them something out of my stores that is in short supply in the shops.
Yesterday's additions was 4 tinned Fray Bentos pies (comfort food in a can). £1.00 each instead of £2.00. Couldn't leave them in the store at that price could I?0 -

Sorry to go off topic but
I love these but I find that they "spit" all over my oven and make it quite smoky, I cook them as it says on the tins?? Do you have any tips.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

Just been into Tesco, the Evida is still 2 for £1, but it looks like its only now on the green bottle, the Daily Refresh? the yellow bottle has the normal 1.70 label and only the green had 1.70 - 2for£1 flash, it went through the checkout at £1 total for both, so may just be worth checking. The toothpaste is 32p, hope thats helps.
They have the big bottles of Fairy Liquid, all types, at £1, Nutella for £1, and the bags of limited edition Peanut M&Ms from Christmas now finally reduced to 25p, stocked up for hubby as they are his favourite, and the 6 box of creme eggs for 1.50 for me!
always stock up on our favourite sweeties when they are on offer and hide them!
