yea, they generally call it a maximum of 6 promotional items
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)
  • I cant see any offer on Fairy at Asda or anywhere else at the moment, have just checked Mysupermarket, but think it was a couple of months ago? I remember popping in and buying a couple at that price, apologies if Im wrong! :) x

Has this gotten confused with the Persil/Surf Asda offer maybe? 3 litre, 85 wash bottles for a fiver :D Bought one of each today.

  • Despite knowing both my freezers are packed, I couldn't resist an offer in M & S yesterday! Four large breaded plaice half price offer (£2.74). Offer of 3 for 2 on all frozen food, so bought three boxes. Cost me £5.48 for 3 boxes. That works out at a fraction over 37p per fish if my maths are correct. Bargain, but have you ever tried to get 3 boxes of fish in already stuffed freezers!!!

    Oooh yes........... often!

I take the contents out of the box and put into new freezer bags to make more space. Just cut the description from the box to slip into the bag to be sure you know what all these naked packs are!

That's just what I ended up doing! There are individual bagged plaice slotted in the freezers here. there and everywhere!

Ten years ago, a friend of mine said , "There's absolutely no excuse for ever buying full price toilet rolls or teabags!" I agree many other items can be added to this list these days, and am working on perfecting the art of packing and rotating all of my bargains in the smallest space possible.
  • Meant to say, Sainsburys Red Label teabags, 160 box, £1.24 each

with the bulk buying, I agree with what others have said, in that I check on the shelf ticket when the offer is on until, then buy 3/4 each time I go in, for non perishables. I also check Mysupermarket on wednesday morning after Ive dropped the kids, as thats when Sainsburys and Tesco change their offers usually, then go up and get whatever is there on good offer, provided its something we like and will eat or can hoard!

My family always know whats on offer cos thats whats in the fridge and cupboards!

great tip re the M&S fish offer, thanks - will have a look next time Im in town :)

my own rule is never pay full price for anything, if I can possibly help it!! and if its full price I wait until its reduced - there was a tv box set I was really longing for for Christmas, told hubby to leave it as was expensive - it went to half price on Amazon at New Year so ordered it, there was a delay in stock coming in and in the meantime it came down further in price, so cancelled it and reordered at new price, was 39.99, got for £16 in the end, so being patient does sometimes pay, which doesnt come easy to me as I always want it NOW! :) x

    I do this also.

I've just bought 10 boxes of Kelloggs Coco pops (£1.45 for 600g at Tesco) as my daughter loves them. I store them in our bedroom (very romantic) together with the pepsi that was on offer at morrisons before xmas (buy 1 and get 2 free offer).
