Thanks for your input I appreciate it I really do.
However a couple of questions, now im just a simple guy so please go slow when you explain, how is £243.66 close to £97.96 now unless my abacus is wrong, and it could well be but your suggestion would cost me £145.77 more, of course im happy to be corrected but the mix of my abacus and only having 21 digits to count with may have lead to a mis-calculation.
Also, again im happy to be corrected but txl airport is 10km away from my hotel, which is near the reichstag, and sxf is 22km's, again according to my calculations thats 12kms difference which is actually approx 6 miles.
Add to that I live 30miles away from stn and 60miles away from lhr this makes your alternative a tad pointless for me, but again thanks I really really appreciate it.
If I ever want to pay more than double for a flight ive found out of an airport twice as far as away from me i'll let you know.
All the very very best
You posted that the trip with Lufthansa would cost considerably more than I found. However, you seem to have forgotten to post the dates of your trip, therefore it would have been impossible to have shown any comparable rates anyway. You Also did not happen to mention whether your prices included any extra fees (card taxes boarding passes etc.).
But you carry on with a your over-inflated sense of superiority and go on your trip, never really knowing whether you will actually make it or not, on the price that you have been quoted. Me personally, I would rather pay a few pounds extra to, a) be confident of actually getting to where I want to and b) for the price I wanted to pay and c) be given the service any reasonable person would expect and d) most of all, that I have deprived O'Leary of my hard earned cash. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Sorry, but seeing as you couldn't be bothered to tell us that and my crystal ball is away being polished, I had no choice but to guess. One other puick point my/our anniversary is in June so gawd know why you priced it up for feb, which oddly is even more expensive as it coming it at £261.60.
but thanks anywayThe greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Anyway thats it from me i think i've made my point so i wish you well and hope you enjoy all of your overpriced flights.

This is all pretty pointless. For most people, short haul, price dictates. So if Ryanair are cheapest go with Ryanair. If they are not, go with who ever is . Same goes Air Berlin, BA, Easyjet, Jet2, Bmibaby, Germanwings or who ever. Each have their own booking conditions. Surely what ever the booking conditions, thats their conditions to obtain that fare.
If you dont like the conditions, dont book,0 -

The bluff that Ryanair would pull the ability to to check in at the airport is just that, a bluff. Remember this is just a revenue stream, no reason for them to not allow checking in at the airport, they will just find a way around it or reduce the cost if they have to.
BTW can someone tell me why you have to check in AND print your boarding card 4 hours before the flight, could just be the cynic in me but maybe when you arrive at the airport and get informed of the £40 charge you can not run off and use an internet station to do it, but the agent CAN.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Well, yet again O'Leary shows contempt for the consumer. Didn't someone at the OFT accuse him of cynically taunting his passengers. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
