I feel your pain Stephyt23. My bank balance is zero, and I just can't seem to find many jobs to apply for. I hit a blank every time I even look at I look at an application form. I'm just comparing everything to what I've been doing for the past 8 months... volunteering in an amazing orphanage in Africa. I know nothing is going to compare to that but I'm still struggling to get past it... the answer is probably to apply to work in charities and stuff but there's so little of that around.OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0

Definitely sounds like that's the best area for you. have you tried just sending off your cv to companies within that sector? May open something up for you. Or if you can do voluntary work within that sector while working part time?Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Yes, I'm just in that process now. Thanks... I'm just having one of them fed up days like you!OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0

Feeling a bit down again today. Fed up of being stuck at home with nothing to do. Bank balance is getting drastically low now
Feels worse that it's March tomorrow so making it 2 months being unemployed
I feel your pain. I'm too scared to look at my bank balance, my calculations last time I looked was that i'd have to get rid of the car at the end of March if I didn't find employment. That'll really hinder me in my whole life and not just job hunting.
Good luck with the second interview tomorrow night Drea and to all of us job hunting this week.0 -

I really hope it doesn't come to that for you, that will really not help your job hunting if you can't get to jobsIt's my boyfriends birthday on the first of April so I really hope I'm working before then, that will make me feel even worse than I do already if I can't even afford to get him anything

Sent off for an application form for an Admin job, it's the only other thing i'm qualified to do.
Also re-sent my CV to an agency for a nursery nurse job I've seen. Sent one off over a week ago and still not heard back. HATE agencies for this reason that they never get back to youSaved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Well done Lexi. Good luck Drea and everyone else who has interviews or waiting to hear back.
Filled in two applications for a job today, one a perm role and the other a contract. I've also got an appointment with a agency this evening who recruits for Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Hope to get some info on working visas and job prospects. I'm feeling quite productive. On the downside, no new jobs posted today.0 -
Katkim, are you able to share the agency name?OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0

Good luck Katkim. It's horrible when there's nothing new to apply for. Being able to work abroad would be amazing! Think of all the lovely weather you'd haveSaved: £1566.53/ £20000
