Is there actually any good reason why the Job Centre website often withholds application details and asks you to phone the Job Seekers Direct line?
It annoys me so I'm just having a moan :mad:
So anyway... well done and congrats to all those with successes last week and all the best to those with interviews this coming week. Hope you're all having a pleasant weekend!

Brilliant News Lexilex, really pleased for you.

I've got IBS as well and sometimes follow a dairy free diet, its ruddy horrible isn't it. I'd rather get rid of IBS than find a job :eek: :eek: I'm sure you can still take your own food in. They have to respect other diets for whatever reason, and I'm sure its already happened with the children.
PM me if you want to. I'm almost expert in IBS, unfortunately :rotfl:
It certainly is! I've not had dairy now for about 3 years and that seemed to stop all my symptoms until they started up again last August and it's taken until yesterday to confirm it's IBS. Really glad it wasn't celiac as the thought of not being able to eat any dairy or bread would have been a nightmare. Been given a list of things to try cutting out in turn and see if it helps.
If they do offer me the job I'll ask about that I think before accepting, though your right they should respect that some people have restricted diets.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -

To keep paying someone to answer the phone most likely :rotfl: it does annoy me though as you have to give them the job code so it's obvious you've seen and read the job details that's why your phoning. So why do they feel the need to read you everything you've just read yourself?Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -

This annoys me too! :mad::mad:
I've been re-doing my CV this weekend as well as working on my covering letters. There really isn't anything else for me to apply for at the moment
I've been feeling really low this weekend, not keen on returning back to the temp job tomorrow. I really should be happy I have a job at least and I should stop whinging but I'll be honest I'm feeling absolutely misrable, I think the type of work it is and the salary is part of the problem (things the agency weren't honest about). I think I need to start looking for a second job because I'm REALLY struggling.
I hope the week ahead is much better.
Congratulations to those who have new jobs and for those of you who have job interviews coming up, I wish you the best of luck!keep on trying folks,

My phonebill used to be about £2 a month, last month it cost me £7 alone on calling the job seekers direct line. Oh and to add insult to injury some of them had been entered on the system incorrectly and not in the areas they said they were so I couldn't apply anyway.0 -

Well today is a bit of a slow starter, need some tea before I start the job hunt! Got a few companies I can send my CV to. Here's hoping for a more successful week. I get paid from my 2 days work tomorrow
. Also I got to sign on Wednesday and have a 'back to work' group session on Friday at job centre.

Feeling a bit down again today. Fed up of being stuck at home with nothing to do. Bank balance is getting drastically low now
Feels worse that it's March tomorrow so making it 2 months being unemployed
