Okay, thanks both, :T
Its working in the office of a secondary school. That sounds okay to me, I shall have a look further, I think these more info on the website, which I'm just looking at now.
I'm also looking on the Inland Revenue website, with regards to tax refunds. Does this mean I can multi-task as well?0 -

Secondary School will probably be basic skills. They will have some sort of in house system that they will train you to use but I think so long as you can type and can use Word for typing letters and maybe Excel you will be fineSaved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Have you tried phoning them? If you are emailing once a week and getting no reply I'd find another way of trying to contact them. I'm not sure you should have them on your CV really as if you started looking at other jobs you'd be stuck when it comes to references. I had an issue with a company I worked for when I was 17. I had a work accident due to lack of training and ended up with a permanent back problem so I sued them. I was fine getting another job when I came to leave that I did get a little stuck with references. In the end I used the one from my previous job and a character reference, ignoring the company who had caused the injury. I don't recall being asked why I didn't use them for a reference but if I had have been I'd have probably just said the manager had left or something like that.
I use external clients for references (I would have anyway even without the GM) and I just have to hope that employers are not phoning to check up on the consulting work, which would be a little off without asking me...
Perhaps it is just a matter of time for the stain to be of no concern, I cross my fingers that the stain company closes sooner rather than later (it is no longer a going concern).0 -

Somebody please beat some sense into me.
A few months ago I applied for the Sky Graduate Scheme in the 'Betting and Trading' division.
Now that they have finally got back to me with the offer of an interview I am hesitant due to having to leave home and relocate. I didn't enjoy my time at Uni and one of the reasons was the loneliness of living away from home. I do however realise that this is probably as good an opportunity as I am going to get.
Right I am going to go for it - Interview next Thursday.
They are one of the top 100 companies to work for (according to the Times 100), are a market leader and the job is something I would be suitable for. It would also give me a chance to 'turn over a new leaf' and try and move my life in a more positive direction.
It would be a massive change of course but sometimes that is for the best.0 -

My mum's just told me it doesn't sound like I've got the job at her work which I went for last week. I aren't that bothered. The job doesn't start til July, and I honestly came out of the interview thinking I couldn't do the job anyway although I would have taken it without a doubt. It's just so hard to not take it personally. Did they not like me? Why does nobody want me?0

Not sure how my interview went. I never like to think they went well as I get more disappointed if I don't get it. They didn't sound too fussed that I want to re-start uni in September as I can still work with it being a part time course. However they didn't seem too keen that I would need to do placements so I reckon that's gonna go against meSaved: £1566.53/ £20000

Hello all,
I didn't get the job that I went for on MondayNot much more to say really, I got the email this afternoon, first actual rejection letter I've had.
I know I did the best I could have done, and I doubt I did anything really wrong, just not suitable I guess.
Usually when I've had rejections before (you know when they don't get in touch)I've thought it for the best, as I wouldn't want to be out of my depth etc. But I'm sure I could have done this one, and I surpose it helps to think that the company might well have agreed with me. Its just that someone came along more suited I guess.
I emailed my friend from where I used to work and she sent a lovely email back saying how sorry she was and to "keep smiling darling"
Onwards and upwards, as they say.....0
