Just had a phone call and I have an interview on Thursday for a part time Nursery Nurse position
Now I need to try and come up with an activity I can do with a small group of children for 20 mins :cool:Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -

Thank youI've emailed them to ask what age the children will be and how many will be in the group, plus whether I need to take my own resources. Then I can get started on looking for an activity

I'm not finding anything to apply for this week - hope it picks up. Thank you to starry shell. I've got an appointment at Next Step to go through my CV and see what other help they can give me.
I think this thread is great! Its much better than talking to people who know me who keep saying "chin up, something will turn up". They are really starting to get me down!0 -

I've just had a quick chat with my nephew about what he liked when he used to go to nursery (he's 5 now and at school) and he said singing and dancing were his favourites.0 -

It is hard hearing that a lot from friends and family, it's easy for them to say when they have a job.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -

Same! They mean well and just want the best, but they they don't know what it's really like unless you're in this boat.
Although, saying that, I sometimes I think I've totally lost my perspective and it's all too doomy and gloomy. It does consume you and sometimes I do need someone to tell me that 'everything will be ok' (even if they don't know!) :rotfl:0 -

Or how about "it'll all turn out for the best" and my favourite "something better will come your way now" If they could only see what kind of jobs i've applied for.
I'm not finding much out there this week either, do you think it's because it's half term? There seem to be less jobs on the websites this week.0 -
Feeling really lethargic today, can't find the motivation. I uploaded to my CV to one of these talent databases, but nothing ever seems to come out of them! There's a new production starting April and they haven't got an email address except for the top people, which is annoying, they just want you to put your details onto the talent database, which hardly anyone uses as it's all about who you know.
I guess I'm just having one of those days... at least I've done something.0
