  • I have my telephone interview in the morning I am so nervous, I neeeeed this job or at least a face to face interview.
  • I'm STILL waiting to hear from the assessment day last Friday! I've been a complete wreck all week, the longer I wait the more I realise just how much I want this particular job (pressure of being unemployed from next Friday is also a factor probably!)

I gave in and called them this afternoon just to see, and they said I should hear tomorrow...

Sending out congrats and good luck vibes to all....

  • I have an interview for a Royal Mail xmas casual job in a few weeks time... only problem is, I'm not sure how exactly I'm going to get home at night, as I rely on public transport and the shift hours are 2pm til 10pm. Still I will go along and see how it goes as it's experience.

there might be someone who you could get a lift with or how about a bicycle.
  • I've just got off the phone for my telephone interview. I think I messed up. It went really well and I feel the conversation flowed without awkwardness however thinking back, I don't think I answered her last question, I said something else. I got positive feedback from her but I dunno, I just hope the rest of todays callers aren't as good as me haha Really greatful just to have an interview after all this time job hunting.

I have a telephone interview next week also, I found the opportunity by pure luck through applying directly through Linkedin ( while being a little nosey last Sunday).

Completely unexpected, the company has 4 roles that hav not been advertised externally on recruitment sites, or through recruitment agencies so have a really good chance of getting one of roles ( if I can get past the telephone interview and hopefully face to face interview). This role is permanent and in a sector that I really can see myself progressing from admin into finance, hopefully the salary is good as well.

So I have to prepare for my interviews next week, prepare some scripts to practice from, and practice Excel and PowerPoint just in case.

Things are finally looking up :0)

  • 2 out of 4 responses from last weeks interviews so far, latest was WH Smiths just now telling me I was unsuccessful (tbh I was glad as it was only for 8hrs a week and I've got other jobs looking likely atm) but I've been placed in their 'talent pool' for future jobs such as Xmas temping. Had 2 phonecalls this week from agencies for admin jobs, one of which has been extremely helpful by calling me everyday and telling me to add this that and the other to my CV so when she sends it to their client I sound really good :D the other lady hasn't gotten back to me except for the initial call in which I passed her phone questions so still waiting back on here. I was meant to have an NHS interview on Thurs but due to NHS funding cuts the job has been frozen so all interviews postponed indefinitely!! I have an interview next wednesday at a laboratory for a technician (was my first science based job I applied for so was surprised to hear back so soon!). Think that's all! I've had nothing all summer and now suddenly this last fornight I've never had so many phonecalls!

p.s in case anyone remembers, the interview I was worried about attending was the cancelled NHS one which is in an extremely notorious area of the city! I was quite relieved to not have to attend!

At 3:30pm last Friday the assessment day I attended was just ending. At 3:30pm today I get a phone call - I got the job! This is a permanent full time role, it's in mental health and there is clear opportunities for progression and learning so I don't feel I could have got any better job right now! It's exactly what I want to do as a career. My current job temping as a medical receptionist ends next Friday (was covering maternity leave) and this one might take a few weeks to start as they need my CRB check back and references but I can cope with a month or so without pay.

Sending good luck happy vibes out to everyone with interviews coming up... I hope this gives hope that there are jobs out there, don't give up and hopefully there's one out there for each of you with your name on it xx
