    Hi,

Just do it through your own email address. I do this all the time as I don't use Outlook either. You should be able to copy and paste the email address into your own email system.

    Good luck with your application.

this, if it opens in Outlook then you can easily copy the address
  • Thanks everybody for answering that question. Am going to send off my application tomorrow. Have to add some stuff into my CV and then it will be ready. So have to see what happens.

I'm sure some of you know I follow this thread although it's my husband looking for work not me. I have my own small business. This morning in my email, somebody has sent me their CV. I'm not advertising any jobs and I don't invite speculative applications. This bloke has just found my email off my website probably and sent his CV. There's not even a message in the email! Literally, just an attachment. Doesn't tell me what he's looking for or why he's applying, and his CV is full of typos.

Today's tip from me, whatever you do, don't do what this bloke is doing!

I would have at least wrote a speculative covering letter!

Oh well, tomorrow is the start of a new week.....doubt there will be anything different than last week :( How do some of you manage to stay positive? Saying that, I'm definitely not someone who always looks on the bright side of things, lol.

You are like me. I'm finding it hard to be positive. I actually wonder what this country will be like in say 15 years time.

See for me though, reverse psychology works better for me. If I have an interview and I convince myself I'm not that bothered and won't get it anyway, I end up getting it. However, if I tell myself I really want the job and am going to get it, I end up being disappointed!

My boyfriend constantly moans at me for it, but I've used it all my life, even with school exam results, convince myself I've failed them all and then was pleasantly surprised when I got good marks! I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than even more disappointed!

    But that's just me!

i do see your way of thinking and i do the same thingwell i try not to be too positive about it and if i get an offer then its a plus if not then its nothing to worry about.

Just to add ive got an interview this week with a former employer but a different store. If i get offered the job ill most likely have to accept as theres not much available that takes my fancy plus i want to move off jsa asap butill wait and see what occurs.
  • I'm applying for a lot of admin/secretarial positions but don't have any experience, I'm thinking of doing some voluntary work that involves some level of administration so that when the question of experience comes up, I can say YES! Anyone know how I can look into this?
