Thank - you !
You are both right about the searching the internet - i think I have become a bit obsessed !! I/m off out into my garden now - on a positive note my garden has never looked so neat and tidy !!!!
Thanks again and hope we all get a job soon !!!If everything happens for a reason - I wish someone would hurry up and tell me the reason !:)0 -
Welcome to the forum. I am being made redundant after 20 odd years at the same location. It is really tough at first and I still get stressed about the situation, but think it has been a good experience in that I am more aware of the skills that I can offer. and am now looking forward to a new beginning. Is the company that is making you redundant offering outplacement support?
Thanks - thats a really positive attitude you have - and you are right ! Unfortunately the company have not offered any help at all :-(If everything happens for a reason - I wish someone would hurry up and tell me the reason !:)0 -
Good Luck to all those who have interviews this week
I have a question....does anyone know what "leeting" means? I've tried dictionary.com and it doesn't appear to be a word? Thing is, a job I applied for a few weeks ago sent me a letter today which I automatically thought was a rejection letter but it's not. It basically says that due to staff annual leave etc. that "leeting of this post has been slightly delayed".
Now I obviously get the jist that it's taking them alot longer to go through applications than it would normally but can anyone tell me what the definition of "leeting" actually is? :embarasse
Tbh, I'm extremely grateful that they've bothered to write a letter to let me know, I'd completely written it off and it's a job I really fancy and have experience in as well. Fingers crossed!0 -

Really?! I'm Scottish and never heard of it! LOL A Google shows only one other forum with similar, half the people don't know what leeting is and one has replied saying it's Scottish for shortlisting.
Thanks saxonrosecliff!0 -

Thanks saxonrosecliff!
My last job was in HR and I worked with a Scottish HR Advisor (the rest of us being English). She said something about the leeting process and the rest of us all looked at each other with that "I've got no idea what she's talking about" look on our faces. I'd never heard it before then and haven't heard it since then until today. Glad to have been a help!0 -

I just got feedback from my interview on Monday and they said that I inteviewed very well and that my presentation and CV was very good. However they have received 120 CVs for one post. I was the 12th person chosen to be interviewed and he decided in the end to go for a
a candidate that had eight years experience in the role but he did say that I was his second choice.
I had a another interview yesterday and today that I am will get feedback on next week so I am staying postitive and will keep applying.0
