I need some CV help. I'm having some difficulties in putting down the correct word or phrase but I was at uni for a couple of years but left before I could complete it. I sought some help from a local training provider (Working Links) who said that I should not mention that I went to uni at all and to say I went on holiday for those years. Obviously this is a lie. I had left it blank without saying what class I got (or didn't rather) but now have put down 'incomplete'. It probably shows up as I'm a quitter (I have my reasons for leaving). I've never left a core education course before but I'm not sure what to do now...thanks in advance.

    I'd definitely send an email!

I had an interview this week for a position that I applied for nearly two months ago - just shows you never can tell what stage an employer is at in the recruitment process! ;)

    Best wishes to everyone.

Glad I didn't in the end as I've just received the rejection letter in the post! I'm a little disappointed, the position wasn't exactly what I was looking for but would have been great for my CV and I'd have loved to have got into the company :(

Suppose at least the wait is over....

If you went to Uni for two years and completed and pass the assessments you can get a HNC qualifcation for the first year and a HND qualifaction for the second year year so you will have qualifactions to show the employer from your time at uni. You can say that you completed a HND for two years and say nothing about the degree.

    Congratulations :D

Nothing for me to apply for so far today :( Most of the things I applied for last week are closing this week so can only wait.
  • So I had an interview on Wednesday, received a letter this morning saying I didn't get the job. :(

The interview lasted 3 hours!! First I had to complete an application form and repeat most of the information that was already on my CV. Then I had the actual interview. THEN I had an "informal" chat with one of the admins about the role and to ask any questions. THEN I had to do a literacy and numeracy test.

Kinda glad I didn't get the job, 'cause if I had been successful, I would have had to have attended a 2nd interview! Plus, the job seemed very stressful and very long hours. Great pay though... *sigh*
