  • I went to the JCP to sign the paperwork today, the Provider will contact me and I will go meet them and talk about what will happen, when I have to go etc and a lot more detail as it was just a quick slotted in meeting with adviser so he didn't say much but will post more info to this thread and the work programme one as people seem to want to "debate" the programme when not on it. I am with Ingeus which are one of the bigger ones.

Doesn't your DH know that we're in the midst of a recession!!! honestly that's so unhelpful, stay around here so that you get positive support.

Thank you. Its not helpful at all but its just the way he is. I just ignore his negative comments now!

I had 2 interviews and a 2 hour test last week so I'm obviously good at applications forms but I think I failed them all - really surprised about test, have never failed a test before. 1 to hear from - was 1 out of 3 for that but think timescale suggests its gone elsewhere but got e-mail today saying they hadn't made a decision yet and would let me know by end of the day. In last 5 for 2 hour test so getting close but its like banging your head against a wall. Did get an e-mail though from an employer saying a post they previously couldn't interview me for (due to the way it was advertised) is being readvertised and they hope I apply. All childcare is now full for September so going to have fun with that too. Still I have my vol. redundancy pay and 5 parties in the next 3 weekends so life is still fine. Good luck to everyone else jobhunting.

Well i had the interview i mentioned earlier, cant see myself working there as i didnt get that vibe or feeling. Probably doesnt help being set in someones home. It was interesting to hear how many applicants had applied for the job and how far the applicants were eg kent, poland etc.

didnt get this job i went for interview for, another candidate was better which is good as im not sure i could have worked in someones house.

Still not heard back about that interview i had other saturday, well i called earlier to ask if any news and still have decided yet as they're so busy, she knew how many applicants they were interviewing so why say she would get back to me the following week.

Morning all. Haven't been on here in awhile but thought I would give you an update on my situation. I've finally accepted a job offer and start next week. Its an admin role within a fashion company and the pay isn't too bad. Full time 9:00 - 5:30 Mon-Fri. I was quite shocked because I felt nervous during the two interviews I had with them. I was also waiting to hear back from another position I applied for at Westfield Stratford but its been nearly a month since I had the interview and decided I wasn't going to chase them up again. I followed up with an email last week and never got a reply. That job was only part time and the job I've accepted offers more hours which is better for me in the long run.

For all those still looking I hope you'll find something soon :)

Hopefully you'll hear back soon, I still haven't heard from my interview in June :( I've found the interviewer's email online and as I've already called once, I'm debating whether to send a quick e-mail this time. What do you guys think?

Congrats on getting the job! :T

A job I really, really want and would be perfect for closed at noon today.

I just hope I can at least get an interview for it. I've become a bit obssessed as in I'm checking job sites, my email, my phone, etc. constantly. It's not good but I'm desperate to find a job before my current contract ends in a few weeks.

EDIT: Just checked a website where I'd applied for another job and found that due to the extremely high level of response that they've closed the post early. Eeek! Glad I got my application in a few days ago. Fingers crossed.

My little sojourn to London next week is looking pretty good!

One agency interview and two employer interviews. I've nearly made more progress in one week looking in London than I have in over 4 months in Scotland!

Just got to work out the logistics of it all if I do get an offer.............Anyone want to rent a flat in Edinburgh during the festival for one month!? :D

    I'd definitely send an email!

I had an interview this week for a position that I applied for nearly two months ago - just shows you never can tell what stage an employer is at in the recruitment process! ;)

    Best wishes to everyone.
