Keep at it folks ... my own spirits have been lifted as have started a new job this week via temp agency registration. I had not secured anything for six months prior to this via JobCentre and job applications. I will remain hopeful that my agency position will help in securing a permanent post in future.
Good Luck to all jobhunters...0 -
Right, quick update then off to a party.....
Interview went very well, within five minutes of sitting down for an "informal chat" the interviewer said "well I can tell you now that you'll be back for a second interview next week with the MD." So we chatted about the post and my previous experience for another fifteen minutes and then finished. The agency have phoned and confirmed the second interview for next Wednesday or Thursday, so looking quite good but trying not to build my hopes up.
Thanks for all the good wishes, have a good weekend all.
Got to go now, I can hear my pint of John Smiths calling.........0 -

Very happy today, job front is still all quiet. But I won a competition at some point as I had £20 of Disney Store Vouchers delivered this morning
Cheered up my day no end especially as I have had no sleep due to throat and ear infection.

Why cant you get a simple answer as to why you werent successful in reagrds to a job applied for online, 4 or 5 jobs are available for a new asda not far from me and 1 of the jobs id like as its what i used to do but theres no option to say why you would be ideal for the job but they make a decision based on them assessments they ask you.0

That sounds really good Stew, I really hope that the interview with the MD goes just as well! Did they say how many people they would be inviting back for the second interview?
Well Done on the vouchers EndlessStruggle!0 -

Oh my god! I don't ******* believe this!
Missed a call offering me a job at Accessorize following my interview yesterday. Returned the call and explained that I have a uni module to do before I start in September so could I have a Friday off as I need to be in school to do it. She said yes they could work around it that was fine. I said it would probably only be 3 Friday's as I then go on jury service before the summer holidays. I told her yesterday about jury service and she's now turned round and said ah yes I forgot about that. It will be too complicated you not always being there so we can't offer you the job!!
That's the second job offer I've had that I've lost because of jury service!Saved: £1566.53/ £20000
