  • asparagus, I hope your first week is going well.

    925dancer, good luck for tomorrow.

I haven't started yet! I start on Monday, so today I am going shopping for some new work clothes, having a free makeover in Harvey Nicks and then going for some celebratory/post-shopping drinks.

Gah, my bad - thought it was this week. The makeover sounds fab, especially on the heels of a clothes shopping session. Hope you find some good stuff - there seems to be plenty of sales on atm.
    Whatever

I'm back from my interview. I think I did well, it's my known industry so could answer all his questions thoroughly.

I would have had to really impress though as he's onto second interviews today and he saw me off that back of much talking up by the recruitment agency so I will just have to wait and see.

Said he would try and make a decision today but Monday by the latest. Fingers crossed!

I think a week is a reasonable time to wait. From experience, I have been given interviews within a week of applying.

I've been feeling like and unemployable failure this week. I actually said to my mum earlier in the week "I bet I'll be the last unemployed person to get a job" - stupid I know but that's how I feel.

It is easy to feel down about things and people really don't understand if they've not been in our position

    Thanks!

I won myself a Designers Guild cushion today so my lucky streak is continuing, hopefully it lasts until mid morning tomorrow!

    Congratulations

Steph try to remember that we have all felt like that at some point when job hunting but you are obviously intelligent and hard working and I am sure that something will come up for you soon!

    Thank you.

I'm just so glad I found this thread as it really does help having a support network as everyone on here knows what each other is going through.
