I've just had a telephone interview confirmed! Never had one before..... are these any easier or worse than face to face interviews? Slightly nervous......
What I don't understand though is why skype hasn't caught on rather than phone interviews, but not complaining0 -
I asked for feedback on my applicaton for waitrose and apprently it lacked some substance, what a load of bull is what i say0

Does anybody else feel a relief when you get out of that place?
Fed up of my endless holiday now.:(
Yes its always a relief to get out. I come out the door and straight into Wilkinsons which is nextdoor where I have to buy a bar of chocolate to get over it!absolutely!
I was back there earlier today, complete waste of £4 bus fare, I was in and out in less than 5 mins, no jobs on the job points or that the advisor could find on the system.
There hasn't been anything for me to apply for, for about a month now it's so depressing. I've sent my CV off to just about everywhere I can think of and go zero interest. Just not sure what else I can do
Same for me. It costs me £3.80 to get there and back and I'm in and out in five minutes. On Monday she printed out three jobs for me, none of which I stand any chance of getting as I have the wrong experience but I guess I'll have to apply anyway.0 -
My interview/meeting with the agency went brilliantly, they don't understand why I haven't been snapped up, were overjoyed to find a decent CV and will be making the big boss interview me on Friday come hell or high water as they think I'm better than the other two already interviewed and shortlisted
Even better is it's decent money not a million miles from what I was on before and loads of scope for progression as the company has just been bought over and the buying company want to retain what's already there but expand
So it looks like I'll have an interview on Friday, only my 4th in 4 months!
I have to say it has restored a bit of faith in me and my previous experience.0 -
I know this is a bit random, but I'm hoping someone will be able to to help!
Where do you get women's suits from? Men seem to have a lovely selection, but I can't find any I like for women (and that are affordable!)
Any suggestions? Thanks
925dancer - good luck for the interview on Friday!!0 -
Next always do lovely suits I've found.
Interview confirmed and I've just had the full job spec which is pretty much verbatim what I did in my last full-time job so that's good, I should be able to answer all and any questions thrown at me relating to it!0 -
Why isn't this thread a sticky ?0

I bought mine from Debenhams, very cheap but very formal and actually look fine. Brought matching dress, jacket, skirt and trousers for about £80. Removed the belt on the dress though because it looked silly on me. High heeled shoes are brand new but bought from a charity shop for £3.99, smart formal interview handbag off the market for a tenner. I usually wear trousers top and flats at work so dressing in a suit feels strange. Hate wearing high heels (especially as I have had foot surgery and don't like damaging my feet) but unfortunately to be expected. Sensible haircut. Haven't resorted to makeup yet but would welcome any tips on how to use the horrible stuff0
