I've just had a telephone interview confirmed! Never had one before..... are these any easier or worse than face to face interviews? Slightly nervous......

i had never had a telephone interview before until january of this year, i felt it went quite well, i was aksed the same kind of questions i have been asked at face to face interviews.

Yet another trudge to the Jobcentreplus to sign on after another two weeks of disappointments and looking at the same old vacancies.

Does anybody else feel a relief when you get out of that place?

Fed up of my endless holiday now.:(

i do drop and go which isnt any hassle except i have to pay for 1 hours parking and i only need half of it but the guy at the podium never smiles though but the guy i see upstairs is more pleasent.

    absolutely!

I was back there earlier today, complete waste of £4 bus fare, I was in and out in less than 5 mins, no jobs on the job points or that the advisor could find on the system.

There hasn't been anything for me to apply for, for about a month now it's so depressing. I've sent my CV off to just about everywhere I can think of and go zero interest. Just not sure what else I can do :(

Yeeehhhhhh, at last I have a new job :)
It's been going on since mid April, & 3 interviews later (1 this morning) ... she said there and then I start on the 1st Aug!!!! Just waiting a call re: confirmation from the HR Manager.
God I've been soooo stressed and down just lately, totally hate my currenty job, only took it on as flexible enough to attend daughters hospital appointments.
Can't wait to hand in my notice (hopefully tomorrow).:D

Were there any awkward silences? I'm just worried because at a face to face interview you can talk about the surroundings or fill it with a smile! I think I am over thinking..... but thank you for your comment!

not for me, the guy asked the questions and i gave a reply, when he was silent he said he was still there but he was still writing down my response.

    Congrats on the job :D

*lol* looby75 I live in a village that time forgot too. Not that many jobs for me to apply for either.

I start the Work Programme in a few weeks, not impressed at all. Debating what to do, as long as they let me carry on with my voluntary work I am doing I think it won't be too bad.

I just got my 2nd assessment back from the IT Course, only one tiny mistake to amend. :D

Following firms i will never apply for jobs at again as clearly i dont have what it takes to be an employer for them:

    Maplins
    Waitrose

Applied for a job at waitrose earlier and 10 minutes later i get a reply saying i didnt make the shortlist which boggles the mind.
