24 interviews! That's amazing, not great that you went to so many and were unlucky but it's a good number to be getting.

I've applied for about 90 jobs since March. Was chatting to my bets friend this morning and she thought I said 19 and couldn't believe it when I corrected her.

Heard nothing from the Amazon recruitment agents, their 3 days timeline is up today, so I'll be disappointed if something I put on their (pretty basic) form has sent them running after being interested in my CV, don't quite know where it would have went wrong!

I also had my 13 week review today, which was completely painless. Blokey didn't even look at my job search, we had a chat about how it's all different now with claims and it's not in stages anymore, much more flexible. Had a chat about his cats and the Amazon jobs and that was that. See him again in 4 weeks.

  • Well done Jill36!

The interview I had yesterday was in a call centre - something I said I would never do again but I too have had no luck with administrator positions (despite having years of experience), half of them want a degree and the other half want an NVQ in business administration. So, the first call centre job I apply for, I get an interview :)

I was supposed to have my 4 week review tomorrow but the woman won't be in so had a phone one today and just have to sign on as normal tomorrow. Need to ask what I have to do about jury service as I've read i can still claim but i can't be there to sign on as the court is a 25 minute drive away

    Hi Everyone

Don't know if it's just my local area but there seems to be loads of jobs most on the JCP website this week, they even most a couple of Sunday for the first time ever! Nothing relevent to me though.

Just an update from me. I am desperately hoping I've managed to secure a few months work in a cleaning job, hoping it may start next Monday but if not should be the Monday after. I am trying to get my hopes up incase it all falls though. It's only NMW but plenty of opportunity for overtime.

I have also applied for a youth work job. It's only 2.5 hrs a week so I am hoping there may not have been a lot of applicants. It would fit in great with my FT role and look good on my CV. Also applied for sessional tutor work at the local prison. They asked to meet with me a few weeks ago but as it was sessional I had to turn it down. Now I am working I could do it.

I have a 30 min appointment at the job centre tomorrow, really hope I get a start date for this other job so I can let her know. Last time I saw her she was going to get me a list of training providers so I could do some volunteering with them, mainly working with the unemployed. It would be great experience so hoping to do that one afternoon a week.

I just want to get as much experience (and money) when I can incase I am left jobless again end of September. There is absolutely no way I am going back to the job centre!

Yeah lots were on yesterday for this area but none relevant to me.

Just found on my local council site an After school assistant position working 3 til 6 5 days a week, or flexible to suit your needs, and to work in the holiday club for a massive £10 per hour!!!!! The Supervisor role they are also after will be on £12 an hour :eek::eek::eek::eek: I'm totally shocked! My interview today was to run a holiday club and I'd be on £6 an hour!

DEFINITELY applying for this :rotfl: the Supervisor role say's to have an NVQ level 3 but so did the job I interviewed for today so think I'll apply for it anyway as I have loads of experience and an NVQ level 2

I have just come back from an interview and was offered the job immediately. (Start tomorrow)

It is a cleaning job 20 hours a week starting at 7.15am . £6.00 an hour.

There is a possibility of more hours maybe doing something else in the company

At least starting at 7:15 you won't have to cope with the main rush hour:D. Congratulations

I just applied for a job today, a work from home job for 2 weeks, will be interesting, never done a work from home job before! Fingers crossed!
