It's interview day for me today - if I don't get it I'll just look on the positives, that I got an interview in the first place and that all interview practice is good!
I'm going to wear a dress suit that I bought especially for interviews, it'll be the first time I've worn it since buying it in January.
It's going to be strange but quite nice getting the bus into town all suited up!There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0 -

I have a Job interview on Friday so alot of preparation for that. I am not going to do the part -time role and will focus my energy on getting a full time job that is paying a decent salary. There is no point in getting a part time job and leaving after month or two when you get a full time job because it looks like you cannot stick at anything.0

Hello fellow jobseekers again!
I have been around reading post and stuff, however been a bit busy with overtime and interviews.
Congratulations to all of you with job offers (there were quite a few!!!), and for those who haven't, it will be your time soon!
There must be something in the air, as thirty minutes ago, I got a verbal offer for a NHS med lab job (subject to occupational health and references)!
I am shocked, dumbfounded and grinning like a crazy person! The interview went really well apart from that dreaded question, "where will you be in 5 years time?", I completely messed that question up and got so tongue tied (interviewers were sympathetic and said it is a hard question). They also know I have a degree as well, which I thought would go against me. But yay (!) there is hopex

I hate that five years question. I'm hoping they don't ask me that today, I always go completely blank! There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0

Haven't found any new jobs today, am finding a few a week to apply for but is hard to guess whether I can get to the jobs because of the transport etc. I need to pass my driving test soon only to be not able to afford a car/running a car anyways so is a bit of a vicious circle really  I wish I lived in a town and a much bigger one at that. Is my birthday tomorrow so going to take a break for a few days I think.0

Told 'em in 5 years I was hoping to be a successful self-employed web designer and that the job I was being interviewed for was an opportunity to get a foot in the door and gain some valuable experience. Employers don't necessary want to hear you'll be still working for them because it's unrealistic, especially if it's a temporary minimum wage job!
As long as they understand you have high hopes and dreams for yourself, I think will appreciate your honesty.
As I said, worked for me.0 -
I always say "when I moved to Cardiff I found any job to get me down here so now I'm taking time to find a job I feel I'll enjoy and settle in. So as for 5 years down the line, hopefully I'll still be here if I get the job (giggle giggle) and maybe be able to work my way up a little. Oh, and I'll have won the lottery (giggle giggle)."Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0
