Hi, it went really well thanks! I think that I will really love working there, the people are nice and the job is something that I feel I will be really good at! I was worried about posting because lot's of people are having a bad day today.

    Don't be silly :)

Glad it went well for you :)

Does anyone else HATE application forms?

I found (what seemed like) a perfect job. I sent my CV... they sent me an application form via email, along with a person specification. Most of the things like work experience, previous employers, etc, I can't even fill in as I DON'T HAVE THESE THINGS. All I can really fill in are the basic personal details, educational background, and why I think the post is right for me.

Also within the specification, it says in the 'ESSENTIAL CRITERIA' section that you must have at least 3-years experience in an office environment. Now wait a second.. I thought this job was for a trainee position??? It didn't say any of this in the ad.

Sorry. Just feel like I'm constantly hitting a brick wall.

edit to add - negativity aside, do you think it's worth applying and leaving certain things blank, or will they just toss my application to the side? *sigh*

Rather than leaving things blank, I like to put something to explain that I don't meet this particular criteria but.....

eg. if it says experience in a computer package I've never used, I'll put that I have experience of working with new packages and have a proven ability to learn quickly and efficiently.

Oh no! I forgot to do it. I'm going out a bit later so will switch everything off before I go and see what happens to the meter while I'm out :)

yes i dont quite understand why list a job as a trainee yet expect the trainee to have years experience, surely the experience is what you get when your in the trainee job
