Thanks everyone!
I've been up since the crack of dawn-I'll be exhausted tonight! Good Luck Drea and everyone else for today.
(Is it wrong that I am really going to miss you all today? It will be so strange not to know what you are all doing!)0 -
Good luck to everyone starting new jobs today!
And please keep your fingers crossed from me for a phonecall from ASDA (phonecall if successful, email if not...)

I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

Good luck livermum hope your day goes well and quick.
The endless holiday continues for me,fed up as the job I wanted and went for an interview would have started today.
Just looked on directgov website...depressing stuff.
Starting to think I will never get a job.
Need another power walk even if it's raining, I use to enjoy walking in the rain when I was a postie.
Hope something turns up this week for everybody still looking."Life is short even in its longest days".0 -
Very tired today as I couldn't sleep last night - thinking too much about what I'm going to say to the Jobcentre to try and get my JSA sorted.
Starting work tomorrow. I'm already worried as I need to broach the subject asap as to whether I can have next weekend off for my friend's wedding. It's only a p/t role and I'm not expected to work every weekend so it shouldn't be an issue but you just never know and I hate feeling like I'm already rocking the boat on my first day!
Good luck to everyone else starting work this week!0 -
Well, another week of job hunting lies ahead, joy. I have my 13 week review on Wednesday as well so that's something to look forward to.............
Hoping to hear from someone, anyone, today. Perhaps the Amazon recruiters, I just need something to keep me going.
I am finding too that this poxy prepayment meter for electricity eats money like I don't remember them doing in the past. I've only got my laptop, modem and fridge on yet it's going through huge amounts of money, £10 so far since Wednesday and there's only 90p left this morning:eek: So that's depressing as I'm not sure I can afford to keep feeding it and there's nothing else for me to turn off!0 -

That doesn't sound right at all, at this time of year £10 is lasting us at least 2 weeks. Who are you with? Might be worth getting it checked out.:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls

Do you have debt with the company? They take part of your payments for electricity to pay your debt with them. Basically, the more you struggle and are in debt the more they make you pay! At least, that's how it worked for me in one of my previous houses. Were they alright with you Drea?
Yeah the Director was in a meeting so I spoke to the person who was supposed to be "looking after me", he just said he'd pass the message on. I'm glad I didn't have to speak to the Director! I just hope this other job doesn't fall through for any reason!Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0
