Ooh good luck. What kind of positions are they? 900 is a huge amount!

It's a customer service call centre so just a normal phone monkey but they've got a lot of their operations in Scotland now and this is a brand new call centre due to go live in August and slap bang in the centre of Edinburgh which is a whole 1 mile from home. I think it's 500 permanent staff and 400 temp.

So I've applied for several roles! HR assistant, receptionist, team leader and general customer service bod. It's the customer service role that's through the agency, the other ones I applied for through Amazon directly.

No :( I feel really bad because now it's just going to be a phonecall on the day I'm supposed to be there!
it can't be helped, you have to think about whats best for you, they wouldn't have thought twice about withdrawing the job offer at short notice if it had suited them.

I have spent the day shopping to get new clothes for Monday! It's been ages since I was able to justify spending real money on me but I desperately needed some new, smart clothes to create a good first impression. I feel quite nervous about starting, I feel like they are going to call and say there has been a mistake and they are not giving me the job after all! My confidence has taken a real battering with all the rejections that I've had over the past few months.

Well Done Drea, for what it's worth I think that you have made the right decision.

I keep feeling exactly the same about this new job, I feel like I'm chancing it saying no to the other and I'll end up with no job!

Well done Drea, two job offers at the same time, don't you think you're being a bit greedy though? :rotfl: I think prospects are more important in the long run so I think you've made the right decision as well. Is this the one in Newport?

Livermum, isn't it a great feeling to go shopping for new clothes because you're starting a new job. I hope everything goes well for you when you start.

I hope this is the start of a run of good luck for everybody. Have a good weekend all.

You could start the job on Monday and if that does not work out then you could do the other job the following week.
