Just watched the fairy jobmother. I started off being very hostile towards the programme but started to warm to the presenter as she tried to help the four characters, especially those who needed guidance. Lots of cliches said i.e.,
calm down (from a scouser)
weaknesses - diabetes (line copied almost word for word from series the office!)
There is a lot of jobs out there (as previously stated in this forum yep but even more people chasing these jobs)
One criticism is that the presenter was angry when no one turned up at her job club. One bloke had rung in and stated that his wife's waters had broken which seems a perfectly valid reason to me for non attendance that week
On the whole once the first 15 minutes have passed I found it uplifting and motivating. Promised myself not to be so wimpy in future0 -

In case anyone is interested - it looks like the Asda jobs for the Netto stores which are becoming small Asda stores have been put on the Asda jobs website. There is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro.....0

Job clubs should be more like this, rather than have people going in and making paper aeroplanes.0 -
1 job to apply for today, that now takes my total up to 61 jobs applied for in 6 months.... how depressing!!
Off to meet an old friend for lunch in a bit, haven't seen her since we left school 8 years ago!
Still not heard from either BHS (who said they'd call today, i'll believe that when I see it) or Next who also said I'd hear by today.
Not contacting us after applying for jobs is one thing, but to not contact people after having an interview is just damn rude in my opinion.Saved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
I have just got back from my second "favourable" interview with the site manager, and I have been offered the job! :j I'm so pleased as the hours are perfect to fit in around my daughter, and the location is good too (and will be even better once I have passed my driving test!), so now I just have to wait for HR to sort out the details of my contract and will hopefully be starting early next week!
I'm still going to come onto this thread and check on how you all are doing, and I just wanted to say thank you all so much for all the support that you have offered.0 -
