Steph do you feel better today? I hope you do, I felt really down yesterday too but have put my happy head back on today! :D

Only a little bit, and that was mainly because I've been in school so have stopped myself thinking about it. If I've not heard from them by 4.00 tomorrow I'm chasing them up. Just hate waiting and it's the fact this friend got offered a job on the spot that has really wound me up.

Steph, I had an interview at Next last month and never got it. Did you have to do half an hour on the shop floor? I was on greeting, it was awful. I hate those people when I go shopping myself. Just let me shop in peace!

Yeah I did. Had to pretend I had a customer wanting to spend £80 and find an outfit for her for casual drinks and then my second task was just to empty the rail from the fitting room. Hardly got asked any questions as she said I'd done it all online and scored 92% which was said was excellent. Then she just asked if there were any holidays I had or days I couldn't work.

  • Well I now have a job, starting next Tuesday :) Very pleased, but it's only p/t time temporary so I'll still be applying for full-time work when I get the chance! It's also not really in an area I'm interested in, but it'll be something to put on the CV at least.

    Yet another very well done!!

Just finished my interview. Think I started well aand scored very well on knowledge of company, but also think I may have come across at the end as light and fluffy. Oh well, hopefully will get some feedback that I can use for the next one.
Have decided that interviews are a sort of quiz. Once I know the rules I should be able to perform better

I agree with needing to 'know the rules'. Interviewing is definitely a skill that you can learn or improve upon. Like all skills, some people are naturally good at it, but the rest of us can improve this skill with practice and feedback.

Well this morning has been marginally better on the jobs front, two applied for already.

Today is pre-pay meter fitting day, gas man has already been. This is the worst bit I think about the whole thing, not being able to pay the bills and it all catching up with you, makes me feel awful :(

My new job starts next week but is part time to start with and is subject to passing the training and references so I am keeping my options open and still looking for a full-time job. I have not seen anything to apply for yet but the day is young.
