Hello all. Back to the jobhunting today. I decided to take a few days off over easter from it and am raring to go again but I can't find anything to apply for! I've filled in an application form for one job that arrived on Saturday and have posted that but that's the lot.
Hello and welcome to Jen.0 -
I took a few days off too to relax and I've been so ill. I've been told that the ITQ is phasing out the Clait so not sure anyone knows what is going on with all the IT Qualifications, there should just be the one! I haven't heard much from anyone over the past few weeks just that the NHS job is on hold due to government cuts and not shortlisted for the bank one. I have been told today at my voluntary position that I am now to be training to be part of the IT team as well. They obviously don't know how much computers hate me lol.0

Hi everyone, hope you had a lovely Easter weekend.
Feel like I've come crashing back down to reality today. Just done an online application for JSA, waiting for a phone call then an interview date to see if I'm eligible. I better had be or I'm screwed!!
My Mom was telling me a friend of hers applied for a Learning mentor job in a school which she had all the right qualifications for and didn't even get offered an interview. They had 120 applications!!!! It's a joke! Makes me wonder what chance I really have of ever getting a Teaching Assistant job.
Off to job search now as been volunteering at school today which has been greatSaved: £1566.53/ £20000 -
Well my half day at work was okay, very dull, I'm there to photocopy sheets, punch them and stick them in folders. Still, it's a couple days work and it's a company I like so hoping it makes a good impression! I'm to go back tomorrow at 9.30 for the whole day.Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0

Lexi how was your birthday?
Fab thank you! OH took me to Dalby Forest for a picnic and we went to Whitby for an ice cream before returning home and making our own pizzas. It was really lovely and just goes to show you don't need to spend a fortune to have a good time.
I'm struggling to get back on the job hunt now though. I'm in the middle of two applications which are both lengthy. I'm finding it hard to concentrate so my task tomorrow is to get those completed.
Hope everybody had a fab easter. Only another two days and we get another bank holiday :j I could get used to having people around during the day. It does get lonely this unemployed lark!0 -

Good Morning
Recently on this forum, there were a group of people who were thinking of looking at other people's CV's and giving ideas on improvement etc. Am I correct?
Would it be ok if I could post my CV for advice on how to improve it etc?
Thank You.0 -
Holidays are over, back to it. Although I still have "Go Ape" then camping on Thurs
Please let us know what Go Ape is like. We have been planning a trip there since last Summer. There was a Go Ape at Dalby Forest and it looks terrifying  I'd like to know if there's a whimps course, or if you have to do every bit of the course because I could not do some of those zip lines :eek:oh lucky you, we love Dalby Forest, dd says it's her favourite place in the world lol
Gorgeous isn't it. I loved the little streams.
Forgot to say too, I've only got about £60 to pay on my holiday now with birthday money and the little bit of money I've been saving in my paypal account from surveys :j
Anyway back to the job hunt. Just completed an application form this morning, still got another to do but the closing date isn't until the 16th and I really am struggling to motivate myself this week.0 -

Thank You.
We never took the idea any further which is a shame because it would be really helpful. I will look into it more today and see if I can get any ideas.
Would a facebook group work?0
